A Terrible Meal!. We decided to eat at Baca Restaurant for Thanksgiving

dinner. The place is attractive/tastefully decorated, wine list is good and reasonably priced, but

that is where anything positive about the place ends!

The service was spotty; after we were seated, it took a waiter 10-15 minutes to come ask about drinks; then, we couldn't get rid of the wait staff, with somebody always hovering at our table. Food was horrible. Salads, entrees, and desserts were "skimpy" and tasteless. It's hard to mess up a dessert, but this place did! We couldn't even figure out what the desserts were.

Price $35 per adult but that was not so out of line with other places serving Thanksgiving dinner.

Wouldn't recommend it & will never go back.

overrated. I loved everything but the steak. There were 7 of us at the table and everyone's steak was VERY overcooked. Great wine, great apps, nice atmosphere. I don't recommend this plance

Baca must mean overpriced in Spanish. Atmosphere was nice (a little dark, but romantic). Good service, but restaurant was virtually empty. My friend and I went in expecting gourmet food with a Spanish flare, but really didn't get it. We ordered "Moroccan prawns" --- they brought boiled shrimp covered in tomato sauce ($11). We both ordered beet salads....they brought tiny beets plated with a few leaves of arugula and minimal goat cheese ($9 each). I ordered scallops, my friend ordered beef.....scallops were great, save for the pickled mushrooms, not a good compliment to the delicate flavor of the scallops. My friend's beef was severely overcooked and the bleu cheese mashed potatoes were not pleasant...overpowering bleu cheese, NOT GOOD!! We wanted dessert, but figured it too risky after the first few courses. After all that and wine (no dessert) we spent $160. Long story short, not worth the money.

Too small of menu. I'm not a big meat eater and there wasn't much that satisfied my palate. I had soup and an appetizer for dinner. Service was awesome!

Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Upscale Englewood eatery blends popular Colorado flavors like bison and locally-raised chicken and beef with a contemporary Spanish flair.
