Editorial Review for Domy – by Andrea Loera

In Short
Each unique piece in this uncluttered space is hand selected by store owner Dan Fergus. Expect a focus on contemporary art and culture, with collectible books, periodicals, unique DVDs, toys, kitchy T-shirts and art pieces from local up-and-coming artists. Customers are a mix of the curious and fans of the local and international contemporary art scene. Browse the bookstore and then head out the back patio to check out sister store Raye and have a coffee at Brasil.

Editorial content is independent of paid advertisers. Any expenses are paid for by Citysearch.

I love this place. I first went for the Dunny 3 party. I have been obsessed ever since. This is a place unlike any in Houston. The staff is super cool and helpful. I can drop a load of cash every time I go in there. I am also thrilled that they carry Tokidoki for Lesportsac purses. This place makes my mouth water. lol.

HOUSTON'S NEWEST JEWEL How lucky are we to have a place like DOMY to go... You can go just to look at the unique arwork and enjoy all the great displays of books, or shop for something that will inspire your creative side. Plus if you ever need something to do monday or thursday night you can check out their movie schedules. The courtyard outside is such a special place. An Oasis from the hectic Westhiemer traffic. The best suggestion I can give is to just go and see for yourself. Books, Art, Limited Edition Kid Robot and other toys,magazines,T-shirts,DVD's, and gifts. In a nice open house that has been transformed into a Houston jewel ! Join the myspace group or email list so you can stay updated ;)

Pros: UNIQUE

Cons: Parking
