Editorial Review for Caravan – by Lynn Suhrie

In Short
Ever seen that parked, silver truck emblazoned with www.shopcaravan.com and wondered what it was? It's the city's stylish store-on-wheels, and now the traveling boutique has a permanent location sporting high ceilings, gray walls and the same great clothes. Look for Modern Amusement sweatshirts and tamer striped sweaters for guys, and find Alice + Olivia and Nanette Lepore frocks, soft tees printed with ironic messages and satin party dresses by Natasha Ulyanor for the ladies.

if you're looking for unique pieces, go to caravan. they have the most amazing selection of young designers including vena cava and sretsis. what's even better? their customer service beats any other retail stores in nyc: their fitting rooms are spacious; shopgirls are friendly and helpful; they constantly provide you bottled water. plus they have a $20 sale bin everyday!! last time i was here, i tried on millions of dresses that were only $100 each (on sale). i am a frequent customer at caravan and i have never left the store feeling disappointed or mistreated.

Pros: customer service, friendly people, consistently impressive selection

Cons: none

This place is kinda "hidden" away on Great Jones. They sell really great clothes and have cool jewelry. The customer service is TOPS! They even offered me a drink as I shopped. They also carry Helena Fredriksson and Sretsis, both lines I think are hard to find. I have to emphasize how awesome the staff here really is.
