In Short – Dimly lit subterranean bar features mortar-and-stone walls, exposed rafters and ductwork and a long glossy wooden bar that extends the length of the narrow space. Locals in their 20s and 30s come in after work to enjoy conversations and the nightly music offerings. There's open mic on Mondays, bands on Saturdays and regular DJs spinning electronica most other nights. The DJ mixes include trip hop, downtempo and jazz variations.
An Oasis In The Heart Of Downtown

It seems like you should need a password to get inside the slightly hidden underground bar. When I say underground, I literally mean UNDER the ground. This secret little space can be spotted by a glowing red light that illuminates just above the staircase that leads down to the antithesis of it's neighbor bar the Larimer Lounge. The aesthetics can only be described as warm, cozy and inviting, and that includes the bar's knowledgeable staff. With LIVE music EVERY night, you're sure to find something pleasing to your ears, and their new outdoor stage provides space for more rock and roll than they were initially able to offer on their smaller inside stage. The door cover starts after 9 pm and is only $6 to see 3-5 bands. The outdoor patio/stage is nothing short of magical, even equipped with a patio bar that offers almost as much as they do inside. They let me bring my dog out back and even washed out a bowl for her to drink from. They don't serve food but have a hearty stack of menus from just about every place near by that delivers! Inside, they have one of the wider ranges of top shelf liquors, especially considering their size, and even brought in my favorite vodka for me once I became more of a regular. Great date spot, but the secret is to come during their weekend happy hour between 4 and 7 because you practically have the bar to yourself for hanging with friends or even business meetings. Did I mention that the bar staff is overpoweringly attractive? Oh, and the bathrooms are in competition for the CLEANEST restrooms in Denver, right up there with the Ritz. I love this place so much, I almost didn't want to share it with everyone, but it deserves to get the recognition it's entitled to.
- Pros: Stunning Atmosphere, CLEAN, Under The Radar, Friendly
- Cons: No food.
