Steuben's Food Service

Eat, drink, and feel at home

  • Lunch & Dinner Daily, Brunch On The Weekends
  • Family Friendly, Allergy Menus Available
  • Great Patio and Late Night Menu

Steuben's is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot in the 1940's on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steubens space and hosted Big Bands, Jazz Bands, Swing Bands, and The Rat Pack.

In its prime, Steuben's was the center of the Boston dining and nightlife scene. Steuben's, Denver is a restaurant that respects the history of its name and the core ingredients of the American regional classics, which have been attempted to be recreated. These dishes are America's cuisine and American's interpretations of the dishes of our diverse cultural heritage.

Editorial Review for Steuben's Food Service – by Lori Midson

In Short
From the chrome chairs and Formica-topped tables to the wood paneling and Lino floors, everything about this classic American dining den speaks retro. Owned by the Vesta Dipping Grill clan, the groovy space boasts bay garage windows that open to a small front patio, while a separate back patio seats larger crowds. The menu includes American favorites like deviled eggs, fried chicken, meatloaf, macaroni and cheese, a top-drawer cheeseburger and crisp-skinned, skinny french fries.

Insider Tips

Parking

Street parking, especially on weekends, is next to impossible, so take advantage of the complimentary lot due east of the restaurant.

What to Drink

Classic--and classy--cocktails like the raspberry-lime rickey are the libations of choice, although there's a decent wine list and a better than average beer roster.

Save Time

In a rush? Call ahead and pick up your order without ever leaving your car. The restaurant offers curb-side pick-up.

having read almost all the reviews of the place I find it hard to think that most people know what they are talking about. I eat at steubens all the time, while everything everytime is not perfect I respect the fact that they try damn hard and if I have an issue they fix it. One note for all of you doubters TALK TO A MANAGER. That goes for any restaurant not just Steubens. The prices are right on the portions are more than big the food is solid and the staff is good. I feel that most of the people that complain on here are the ones that would rather be eating at a big chain that tastes the same anywhere in the world with "chefs" pouring food out of microwavable bags than support independants.

I usually visit Steuben's for my lunch break since I work in the area. Ocassionally there will be a wait but there is usually a spot at the bar for lunch. The service is always great! The waitstaff and bartenders are always friendly and outgoing, and the food is amazing. Last Tuesday I didn't have time to eat in so I called ahead for take-out. The girl behind the counter has amazingly friendly. She didn't just have my order ready, but recognized me from when I came in to eat. She introduced herself and said she'd make sure to say hi when I came in to eat next time. I got back to my office and my green chili cheeseburger was just as good as eating in. My fries were nice and hot too, since she waited until I arrived to order them from the kitchen. Nice touch!

Pros: Great food, great people

Cons: parking, sometimes crowded (but I guess that's because they're good!)

Classic American dishes, two patios, and an uber-cool retro dining room make this uptown hotspot a popular neighborhood gathering place.  See the full editorial review.
