After reading the widely varying
reviews ...I thought to drive down and get something to-go for my friend and I.
Summary ...go here only if you want to get naan bread. Nothing. Else. If I could give 0.1 stars, I would.
Ordered 2 staple items : Lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka massala.
BOTH WERE HORRIBLE. waste of money. There are better places in town.
impressive indian cusine. first time at indias castle and i left with a smile. their service was nice.. but the food was awesome.. i tried samusa for the first time, its like pasrty with pataoes and u dip it into like a mint green sauce.. omg. that was soo good. i had shaag ganeer for the main course and the waiter recommended a nan bread. that was a great combo. my frinds had butter chicken and a lamb dish which was super good. over all we had an awesome time! they gave us dessert on the house.. will be back!
Had a super dine in experience. Well i am into Indian food for a bunch of reason. Travelled to India last summer and had a fab time there got to try indian food there. Also because i visit englad, have family there and there are many fine indian restaurants. Tell you what though, Indias Castle hands down blows my mind. I have been here 4 times and each experience has left me coming back for more. Try the Tica Jhanger with side of Saag Paneer and A Garlic nan. You will hit the ceiling with the taste of flavors.. This place is my fav in the States. Love the Staff now, they all know me well now and treat me like VIP. Nice owners and most important to die for cusine! i would high recommend India's castle!!
Their Negligence Almost Killed my Fiance. On November 7, 2010, my fiancée and I ordered take out from India's Castle. We both have severe nut allergies so we ordered two dishes we had had before and knew would be nut free. Upon getting home with our meal, we noticed that the Chicken Vindaloo that we ordered looked different than usual. My fiancée called the restaurant, and they assured us there that were no nuts in that dish. I ate the Chicken Vindaloo, but my fiancée did not. About 45 minutes later, I went into anaphylactic shock and nearly died on the bathroom floor. I was rushed to the emergency room twice that night due to complications from this allergic reaction. Upon returning to India's Castle to inform them of this mistake that had almost cost me my life, we were met with total denial of accountability on the part of the management. The manager/owner offered to make us new food. We told him that there was no way we were eating in this restaurant again. He next offered gift certificates that we could use or give to someone else. When we said we wanted the cost of our meal back, as well as the $200 out-of-pocket cost for the ER visits, he said that was not possible. The manager did end up giving us the $40 for the meal we bought on Sunday, but refused to go any further than that stating that this was the first time this has happened in 20 years. We told him it honestly didn't matter if this was the first time it had happened because it was almost my last meal ever. He continued to deny accountability. This is concerning on many levels, but mostly because this may have been the first mistake that this restaurant knows they made, but if they continue to deny responsibility, there is a greater chance it could happen again and with a far more dire outcome. If you have food allergies, or just want to eat in a place that is owned by someone who cares about the safety and quality of the food they serve, do not eat at India's Castle!
awesome indian food. moved here from nor cal last month and was introduced to a bunch of good indian restaurants there. when i movd here i was expecting indian food but wasnt expecting amazing food.. my firnds and i looked up some local restaurants in denver.. we found indias castle to be the closetest to us and gave it a shot.. HAVE to say.. SOME OF THE BEST INDIAN food i have ever tried.. the service was decent, enough to leave me fully satisfied.. go with the butter chicken and onion nan.. u will seriouslly hit the stairscase to heaven.. it was that good.. have a stawberry lassi and they bring u dessert too... gosh.. i loved it
Read all reviews carefully - Restaurant NO GOOD.
Before visiting this restaurant we read the reviews.
People either chose 5* or 1*. Interesting isn't it ?
After visiting it we can say its not worth more than 1*.
Now we can understand that all those 5 star reviews are written by the hotel management themselves
The place stinks. Taste was naaaaa, it also caused bad stomach for two of us next day.
only good thing about it was Indian Hot Chai.
Try food there at your own risk.
Best Chicken Tikka Masala in Denver Area. Worth the drive from wherever you are located. Best curry dishes in town.
I was turned onto this place nearly two years ago by people who had been going to a year before that. I've known India's who grew up in in India and the food at India's Castle is just like how my friends cook. Some of the other places really Americanize their food, but I haven't found this place to do it -- from their naan to their tea.
Their prices are not high or low for Indian food, but the quality and service is much higher than other Indian locations in the Denver-Metro. In fact, I'm on my way in right now to pick up some Saag with Garlic Naan, and I will gladly drink a King Fisher while I wait.
Very rude behaviour towards customers. The experience at this restaurant left a very bad taste in my mouth. The first time I went to this restaurant along with 4 of my friends not everyone was hungry as we had just spent time at a bar&grill. So only 2 of us orderded. The owner talked in a very rude manner and told, only if everyone is eating can we sit there and suggested that we take a To Go. We just left the place not able to believe the ridiculos behavior. One of the guys among us was a regular there. In the recession driven economy where restaurants got effected visibly sooner than any other business only a fool will treat his customers this way.
Favorite restaurant. I'm surprised I saw some bad reviews on here. India's Castle is one of our favorite restaurants. The manager / owner is super friendly and often comps us appetizers or dessert. The food rocks, Indian food is my favorite and this is my favorite restaurant in Colorado. I've never had anything bad here. I give it 5 plus!
