DO NOT GO HERE!!!!. so we decided to go eat Mexican, we went here and no one was greeting at the door to sit us down, the place was empty on a Saturday, i was able to get the cook's attention after waiting 20 minutes someone came and got us a table. I order unsweetened tea the drink had things floating around so dirty had to ask the waiter for a 2nd drink, then the staff started cleaning around us mopping etc and they were cursing like sailors in Spanish i thought that was rude and them knowing i'm hispanic and speak the language the staff does not have any respect they curse all the time they dont care who's around them and even to pay we had to wait another 10 mints at the front..
Great Place to Eat. This place has good Mexican food and excellent customer service. The salsa here is awesome and the portions of food are perfect. I go here for lunch all the time because the service is fast and the food is hot and inexpensive.
Incredible Mexican Cuisine. I love this restaurant. Good Food. Great Price. Good People. Mexican food that is spicy and plentiful. Great neighborhood place to eat. The wait staff is friendly (They always recognize that we've been in before) and attentive. Food come out of the kitchen very fast and hot.
Incredible!. This is now our favorite Mexican Rest. The food and service are great. The Margaritas are also fantastic. As soon as you enter the Rest. you are greeted so genuinely it is very inviting. Huge variety of food, been there numerous times and have not been dissapointed. The atmosphere is a lot of fun.
Good service but below average food. Above average service but maybe too good. If you just want people filling up your water glass, removing straw wrappers, refilling your salsa, and asking you how things are every minute then this is the place for you. It you want good Mexican food then go elsewhere. The salsa is like spaghetti sauce with too much chile powder. The chips are too greasy and too salty. The food is not all that great and has too much lettuce. Do the cooks here even know what a Jalapeno looks like? At least I could taste some tequila in the margarita. You are better off to eat at home, go to the store and get some Amy's frozen enchiladas and a bottle of Tequila.
Best Mexican food in Denver, period.. I've gotten spoiled having La Fogata so close to where I live, because now I absolutely can't stand to eat Mexican anywhere else -- it's always a disappointment compared to La Fogata. The service is on par with a 5-star restaurant, yet I continue to be shocked by the low prices. This place seems like it should be an expensive restaurant downtown. I almost want to tell them that they should raise their prices a little (but I won't). Scott is the owner and he will usually be your host, as well, and he practically lets you choose your table. He is proud of the fact that all of their food is prepared right there at the restaurant (guacamole made from real avocados, not powder, and no frozen pre-cooked meat allowed!). Everything on the menu is exceptional, from the beef and been burritos to the shrimp fajitas, and if you're having a hard time choosing your server will be happy to make a recommendation. The beer selection has something for everyone (from Stella Artois to Bud light). They even make their own (delicious) margarita mix. In fact, La Fogata has raised my expectations for eating out in general, not just Mexican food. I tell everyone about this place, but be warned: after you eat here you will not want to eat Mexican food anywhere else.
Highly Recommended. This is my favorite Mexican food in Denver. It's always fast, it's cheap, the food is great no matter what I order, and the service is wonderful.
