Sarah Rocks. Just got back from yet another great cut and color at Vain (Stylist is sarah). I've resisted posting in case she gets too busy, but this time.. well I can't help it. Funky cool salon which isn't intimidating (heck they have 2 mellow boston terriers roaming around). Sarah listens to what you want, manages to always make it happen and cares about giving you something which looks good- on you. Plus I don't ever walk out with anything other than silky, hip looking hair. No mom hair. No 'highlights like everyone elses'. No crazyness. Just fresh, cool cuts which grow in great.

So Unhappy. I went with a photo & specific instructions & ended up with a really lame cut from Regina, totally the opposite of what I asked for. I felt really stupid because my hair was styled curly so I didn't realize how extremely layered it was when I left, I thought it would be ok once I washed it so I didn't complain. The salon itself seemed cool but I will never go back, I totally hate my hair now & can not wait until it grows out.

Find it Fast!. This amazing salon is actually located on the corner of E 19th Avenue and Pennsylvania Street in Uptown, and not on S Pennsylvania. Convenient to downtown and well worth a visit. Fun, vibrant, progressive and a great experience!

Coolest salon downtown!. This place is GREAT! The atmosphere as soon as you walk in here is incredible, just like you are walking into a party. I just got a cut and had one of the best times in a salon ever. The people here are all genuinely having a good time, it's hard not to share in their fun. They also have other fun stuff to buy than just hair products. The next time I go will be for some highlights, I can't wait!
