Kataluma Chai my favorite place on the mall !. I have been in Kataluma Chai Co. at Colorado Mills Mall many times over the past five years and as a locally owned store I am glad it is still in business and doing well. They offer FREE wireless connection so it is a comfortable place to work on my computer. The drinks have always been wonderful and I personally have always found service friendly. My favorite is Caramel Dream - Oh wow, blended up with ice cream - now that is really good. They also have a great bagel sandwich with fresh vegetables which is also yummy. The blended drinks are big too with lots of whipped cream, little toffee chunks and syrup on top. Yummmm. They have comparable prices to specialty coffee drinks and in some cases much better and since I don't do coffee this is awesome. I have watched them grow from a barebones start up to a very nice charming atmosphere that offers new products all the time. They have gifts for friends. And almost any flavored syrup you could want for you chai or coffee, they even special ordered me some flavors. They carry lots of stuff for whole leaf teas and even coffee. So yeah, I give them 5 stars and if there is a wait - I don't mind at all..........…

I used to work at this mall, and visited Kataluma a total of 4 times. I think the owner is the only person who ever works there and takes care of business things at the expense of her customers.
The last time I went to her shop, I left after paying nearly $11 for my lunch. I was in the store for about 5 minutes, browsing, giving her time to finish her phone call. I was her only customer. She did not acknowledge me, or put her caller on hold.
I finally went to the register, ready to order a sandwich and a chai tea drink. With the phone in her hand, she took my order, and went back to talking and writing on a paper. Only after taking the next set of customers' orders did she even start making my sandwich and drink.
I sat down and received my order about 15 minutes after I placed it. When handing me my sandwich she said, "You wouldn't have to wait if you called your order in." My iced chai drink had a nice flavor, but there was powdered chai mix floating in it which made it grainy.
I haven't worked at the mall for over 2 years. I haven't visited the Kataluma shop for over a year. I was in the area for my father's court appearance, and went to the mall on my break. I did not know I was going to eat there until I actually walked past it.
I actually had to return to get the bottle of water I paid for and wait some more for her to acknowledge me.
What a waste of time and money!…
