In Short
Something of everything can be found at this eatery: It's a mecca for swank Italian food, a sleek bar and a late-night destination for hungry revelers. Thursday nights bring jazz musicians to the restaurant for live music, which only reinforces the decidedly smooth atmosphere. Well-heeled diners slide into curved, black leather booths or sit at ebony-toned tables and nibble on dishes such as lobster meatballs, bouillabaisse risotto and kalamata-stuffed Colorado lamb.

I travel a lot and have eaten at some really decent places. I think I just had one of the best stateside meals right here in Denver!!! Unexpected food quality and awesome presentation. Service was "real" and focused-even when it got busy. Servers were really nice and even made eye-contact with my table. It is obvious they have a real chef in the kitchen. Took my family there on a Saturday night and ate in the main dining area. moderately noisy but no loud canned music. Pretty decent live jazz near the end of our meal. Went upstairs after dinner for drinks and loved the very "Seattle like" view from above. I did not realize Denver had such a gem. WIll definitely go back.

As the bar manager of a very good restaurant in Downtown Denver, I'm a very harsh critic of dining in this town. I've been to and worked in a lot of great places, and a lot of bad places too. Vita on a beautiful night, with some old friends on the rooftop should have been a great dinner, and a great chance to catch up with old friends, but instead we were treated to the worst meal, and the worst dining experience I have ever had in Denver. I am embarrassed that I recommended this restaurant to my friends, as I thought it would be a great night out in a nice atmosphere. The one positive thing about this place is the location. Fantastic rooftop patio, and a wonderful view. That is the only thing I can say about the place that isn't negative. I made reservations on opentable a week prior, asking specifically for a table of the rooftop patio, only to find out that the rooftop is first come first serve when we got there. Thankfully, after the hostess told we wouldn't be able to get seated upstairs, we went upstairs to find 4 open tables, and were seated right in the middle of the best patio in Downtown Denver. Our server came over after a few minutes and took our drink order, dropping one dinner menu for a table of 4, and the menu was wet from the last table spilling drinks on it, We ordered a bottle of white wine for the ladies, and two of the margarita martini cocktails, with (fresh squeezed juices). These were obviously not so, as they were horrible. Took me right back to college, because it tasted as if a high school kid had raided his parents liquor cabinet, and mixed it with whatever as available. Got a good buzz on, but I would have rather just done a shot. Service was up there with the worst I have ever seen in Denver. Our server obviously didn't care about our dining experience. Food was all too salty, To put it plainly, there was no love being put forward in this place. They are just going through the motions. Don't waste your money.
