This place is closed. Went there based on other reviews - only to find a vacant unit. However, Childs Bakery is just down the sidewalk, which worked out great since my hubby's birthday was just around the corner. Too bad it was closed, I'm always keen on a good Italian restaurant.
Finally some real italian.
There is nothing that stands out more than fresh flavors in a dish. Chesco accomplishes this and more with a fantastic marinara sauce and distinct cheeses. (this concept is also known as fresh ingredients). This is NOT a restuarant that massively produces food so don't expect olive garden. It's quaint, family-owned and will remind you of the italian place you went to when you were a kid. Try it, you may like it!
Best for take-out. Monday nights they have italian lessons for $5.00.
F Viagra, I got me a new kinda smile in my pants..
Woopdiwoop Garsh darn this food is delicious my wife was suprised to see it gave me a bigger renob backwards than Ron Jeremy in those moving films. anywho I think I will go down their right now and spice up my love life. well I love you all and I hope you go eat their food. tasty foods

authentic taste and trying hard. I had a meatball sandwich which was full of meatballs on a crunchy fresh bun even though the bottom was soggy. How do you prevent that since it overflowed with a wonderful, probably not jarred, marinara sauce? The best part was an included side of rotini salad full of a variety of roasted peppers. Definitely, not your ordinary sub. This was $5.95.
As good as eating in Italy.
I've been to Italy several times, several different regions. This is Italy in Denver. The owner/chef knows what he's doing and after visiting with him, turns out he's been doing this for 25+ years. In addition to his menu and daily special (Mangia!!!), Chesco's also has cheeses, meat and other delicacies that are imported. My daughters absolutely love the Dolce Panini; it's like having a dessert for lunch. My favorite? Hard to say; I've been there at least a dozen times and still haven't eaten my way through the menu.
Oh, DON'T forget to try the coffee; it's Illy, the best coffee in Italy and it puts Starbucks to shame and at a FRACTION of the cost. Will I keep going back - you betcha, and I have a bunch of friends who have been frequenting Checos's also. I'm mad about this place!
Editorial Review. Denver deli and Italian restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee all day.
