Got sick and will never go back. Some friends and I were in the area and decided to drop in this weekend to beat the heat with some beers. It seemed fairly relaxed and we were hungry, so we ordered some food too. I got catfish and don't remember being that sick in a long time. Customers beware!

ABSOULTELY DISCUSTING. This place is a joke! The owner Walter Brown, NOT Hoss, has no clue to what is going on in his own establishment! There’s no order, no management, no anything other than the employees do whatever they want to do to fill their pocket with cash that they are most likely skimming off the top and not reporting.

Their food taste like they are getting it catered in from Golden Corral! I'd rather waste my money on a buffet in some poo dunk town where you can't even decipher what the hell you're even eating!

The bartenders are the worst, especially on Friday and Saturday nights! 30 minutes before I get asked what I wanted? It's too bad that I was waiting for someone and had to spend more time there than I wanted to, but once they arrived, I figured it best to leave nothing for my tab ($6.50 for a bottle of BL, are you kidding me!?!) The bartenders can obviously afford to NOT pay attention to her new customers!

The ONLY time I'll EVER be back is when that place burns down again and I'll be bringing my marshmallows for a good ol fashion smoars roasting!

Rip Off Alert. The owner is a jerk. The food is low grade and over priced. Don't waste your time and money on this dump.

Great BBQ all around. You will love this place. Ignore the bad reviews and remember there is quite a bit of local BBQ competition in the area and they like to sabotage on here.

The wings are the best in town and Hoss is a really nice guy, not actually a lunatic.

good bbq. I have had some really great meals here. The fried chicken can be phenomenal and really great ribs too.

A fun atmosphere and space and the best Guinness in town! Check it out!

The Owner is a lunatic!. The food is not bad, the service is terrible, and the owner is crazy. He'll serve bad food and then tell the customer to eat it anyway because he is always right. He screams at his staff all the time and he has no problem yelling at his customers. If the place was good he would be an eccentric,ut the place is far from good.

Not Good at all. Bar B Q was raw! Ok beans over priced and nothing nice. Will never go back. If you like this place you have never had real good BBQ. What ever you do dont get the chesse corn, thought it might be good......one of the worst things I've ever put in my mouth.

Best BBQ in Denver!!. A true gem of a restaurant in the lovely Highlands neighborhood. Big Hoss offers a fun and lively atmosphere whether you are in the mood for lunch or a great dinner. I moved here from PA about a year and a half ago and though I loved Denver I longed for the great restaurants back east, that is until I ate at Big Hoss. The ribs are the best I have ever had! There is nothing better than having a pint of Guinness and a plate of ribs or fried chicken or pulled pork (you can't go wrong!) and don't forget the yummy cheesey corn and biscuits with mashed potatoes and gravy.....mmmm, mmmm good! Hoss has really put his heart and soul in the restaurant and it comes through in the amazing food, good service and great atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and check it out, you are in for a treat!

Great Neighborhood Bar with Excellent Food and Drink Specials. I recently discovered this restaurant when walking by one early evening. The bar seemed crowded and there were multiple tv's showing all the NFL games I wanted to watch. The wings were the best I ever had and I know bird. Had some barbecue shrimp too and it was awesome. Went back the next day and had a cheap shot and a beer. Quite fun with the half chicken. Gonna keep trying it cause it was fun.
