Great Neighborhood Coffee Shop. The coffee is great here, and the food is excellent - made fresh while you wait. I am picky about my coffee and I have not been disappointed here. The coffee is from a local roaster up in the Colorado mountains, and it has a rich, fresh taste and aroma - not bitter. The other thing about this place is that the owner wants to ensure you get a great cup of coffee, so if you don't like your cup, tell him and he'll adjust for you. The shop was recently sold to some new people, and they are very motivated to make your experience a good one. I write the latter because that is a selling point to me - good service and a willingness to hear feedback. The other review mentioned a serial smoker as an employee of the shop who ruined her experience! All I can say is that I moved into the neighborhood four months ago when I bought my home here and I have never seen anyone like that working there! Come try it out - you'll enjoy. The only thing I wish is that they were open later in the afternoon/evening. If there was enough clientele, maybe they might be interested?

Great menu, but... never going back.. I've only been visiting Roast for a few months, ever since I found their delivery menu on my doorstep. I was so happy to find a place in my neighborhood that I could really be excited about. I've tried to encourage my friends and neighbors to check it out as well, as I love thier menu selection, as well as the coffee.

Today, however the service left me never wanting to return. I was one of two customers, as it is late on a weekday afternoon, yet my sandwich took about 15 minutes to prepare. When the employee who made the sandwich finally delivered it to me, she joined me on the patio, at the very next table, where she could enjoy her cigarette while I did NOT enjoy my lunch. Less than 10 minutes later she returned to smoke again... seriously?

I am a service industry professional and I am NOT uptight about casual service, I prefer in most situations to feel like I am in a relaxed atmosphere. Prior to this experience I've never felt compelled to write a negative review of a restaurant... I guess the fumes must've just gotten to my head.
