Piatti Denver
Extremely Disappointing.
My family and I recently went there to honor my Mom who had passed away. We had over 20 people and were given a private room, which was nice. Additionally, the woman who helped us plan the evening was also very helpful and accommodating.
However, the menu we received was not what we had planned. When I questioned it with the waitress she said that's what they gave us.
My Aunt, who has health issues, requested to have an item without the sauce and the waitress was quite put out. There were numerous complaints about the service, the "head" waitress was unfriendly and never smiled. Additionally, the food was just OK.
I don't plan on going back nor would I recommend it.
Love Love LOVE!!!!. Always a great meal. My husband and I often sit at the bar to eat, and have never been disappointed. The San Danielle Salad is a fav as well as any of the pizzas. The bartenders are great and knowledgeable, we have never had a bad experience. The Gazpacho is to die for...almost as good as my own recipe!
MMMMMmmmmmmmmm. Piatti is by far my favorite restaurant in Cherry Creek, and even Denver. I LOVE the Bistecca salad, and order it every time I go -it is consistently fantastic. The servers are friendly and everyone is always smiling. I refer all my friends and family. Thank you Piatti, keep up the good work!
Meh..... My family and I went there for a pre-graduation dinner. The best opinions from anyone was "meh." Personally, my shrimp scampi was extremely overcooked. When asked by my family how it was, the best answer I could give was edible. No one (7 of us) enjoyed their meal. The Ziti had a oddly flavored sauce. It was edible, but not good. The parking lot was also horribly small and the spaces poorly designated. To leave you have to back all the way out through the parking lot. Overall a giant disappointment for a special meal. I have to assume workers wrote the favorable reviews. One positive is the valet attendant was very friendly and personable, though we did not use valet.
Authentic country-style Italian. My husband and I had a fantastic dinner at Piatti on Friday night. We made reservations but arrived 25 minutes early. After letting us know that they probably wouldn't be able to seat us until closer to our reservation time, we were led to a table less than 5 minutes after our arrival. We had an excellent waitress who was friendly and knowledgable. The dish I had was just like one I had in a small village in Tuscany. It was a lamb, red pepper and chickpea ragut over pasta with a few shavings of ricotta - heaven! My husband had the veal and was equally impressed. The open kitchen, great patio and fireplace are all pluses in my opinion. Also despite some other reviews I found it priced quite reasonably, especially for the Cherry Creek location.
Great Italian food! Wonderful Service! What's up with the music?. My wife and I had dinner at Piatti on Tuesday night. We were greeted by a bubbly hostess and werre told there was a bit of a wait for a table. We gladly sat at the bar. The bartender was extememly busy, yet fast and still more than willing to allow us to taste a few wines. Our server was very prompt and friendly as well. Although, he did seem to have a bit of a sweating problem. The food was fantastic and may very well be the best Italian we have had in this dusty ol' cowtown. My only complaints are the Institution style shirts the staff wears. I felt like I was having dinner in prison every time I looked at any staff member. And the music is awful. 80's adult contemporary? Are you kidding me? I fully expected Sheena Easton to walk out of the bathroom at any moment because I was sure they were giving her a tribute.
lemon raviolis!. This is the best thing I have ever had! Thought the salad dressing was a bit garlicy, but the bread, service and this amazing dish of lemon ravioli was incredible!
Amazing pizza!. We went to Piatti for a Saturday lunch and it was wonderful. The Margherita pizza is highly recommended, it was delicious. Service was friendly; a bit slow on the refills but the food came very quickly. And their desserts are amazing!
Wonderful dining experience.
My boyfriend and I went here for the second time, and we were greeted by a very welcoming hostess and staff. We were promptly seated outside at my suggestion- Piatti has a wonderful patio. However, when the wind began to pick up and we asked if we could move inside, our waiter was happy to do so and moved us quickly to a new table, where we received the same wonderful service. Our waiter was warm and casual and the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive.
The food was slow to arrive, although we weren't in a rush so it didn't matter. Also, the cost was a bit pricier than we expected. ($50 for two entrees, one salad, a dessert)
Highly Disappointed.
The food was absolutely awful. The bolognese tasted and resembled something that would have come out of a can. The fettuccine with mushrooms was cold and lacked any flavor. I expressed my disappoint with the manager who really didnt care nor offer to do anything. The table next to us was disapointed as well.
If you are looking for a restaurant offering flavorless overpriced food with poor management you will find it all at Ristorante Piatti!
