Editorial Review for The Grove – by Andrea Loera
In Short
Located across the street from the convention center, this two-story, ultra-urban restaurant headed by Executive Chef Ryan Pera (formerly of 17) is one of two restaurants in downtown Houston's newest park. The one-of-a-kind green space is surrounded by towering oak trees with an expansive dining room highlighting modern design accents. The menu features rustic American cuisine such as Gulf Coast seafood, steaks and signature rotisserie dishes. The Treehouse roof deck bar features casual bar snacks and a see-and-be-seen atmosphere for cocktails.

In short everything about this restaurant is decieving. Granted the inside is decorated beautifully, the food and beverages were horrible. Our waiter was very sweet and informative but his kindness did not make up for the food. I've had way better food for 1/4 of the price. The bartendar did however make a fabulous mojito but the food was just horrible. Please save your time and money. If you're going to make a visit to the grove, play it safe and smart and ONLY order from the beverage menu. Stay away from anything that comes from the kitchen. Let's hope they improve thier menu and seriously consider replacing a beautiful spot for some better qualilty.
Pros: Service and drinks
Cons: Parking, hostess, FOOD, oh and the food

Order the $12 burger and you are guaranteed to be dissapointed. Also someone at the table ordered the develed eggs and they looked pretty unhealthy.
