Oasis Bar offers best nightlife experience! – when i go out, there are two main places i usually go to Suite 200 and Lavish, but lately i've been getting a feeling that these places have been worn out; it's just TOO MANY random people that you do not want to see. So last night (Saturday) i decided to check that new place Oasis Bar that is just across the street from Lavish and was impressed!!! Music was awesome!!! Great service! Friendly crowd! I enjoyed my night, my friends were wondering all night how they have never went there before!

so I read the older reviews and it seems like Oasis took some points under consideration and improved its service tremendously!!!

i recommend all my friends now to go down there and have a REAL party! and what i also loved was the AFTER HOUR party down at the Hookah Bar; its the same establishment, its on the lower level, same great music, people are still parting, no drinks obviously but you get to smoke a hookah!!! i had the Blue Mist flavor and looooved it!!!!

Could be better. – Awful crowd, low class, lazy service, terrible music. It used to be much better and now it is all frustration. Club management invites in many very unpleasant groups of people hoping for business they bring. This is all wrong. And do not pay there ever with your credit card or check your statement carefully within a few months after your last visit. You may be surprised. By any means, place not to be recommended.

Saturdays Have Improved Tremendously – The club has definitly come a long way from my harsh assesment of them the previous year (Sept '09). Their Saturday has improved tremendously within the last few months alone. First with the addition of DJ Emir, who seems to really know how to rock out the party. He's an awesome DJ with a fast paced large city mix style that really makes me wanna shake my groove thang. And second with all the aesthetic improvements to the nightclub itself. The first Saturday I became aware of the major changes was on my BFF's birthday, March 2010.

That night we started at the DRINK & MIX but were quickly bored with the both of those bars so decided to head down the block to Mynt. The drinks at Mynt were awesome! (MMM Mojitos!) but the music was aweful so when one of our friends called and told us she was at Oasis having a great time we were a bit skeptical at first especially considering our previous bad experiences there. We told her to come meet up with us instead. She already heard us comlaining about the music at Mynt so she took the initiative and asked her friend DJ Emir and the bartender what they would do for the birthday girl if she could convince them to bring the party over to Oasis.

With the help of her friend DJ Emir she was able to lock down a sweet deal with a round of drinks thrown in and even a discounted bottle to boot and so proceeded to meet up with us. She immediately dragged us all out of Mynt and down the street over to Oasis. Thank goodness she did, cause it was a hundred times better than Mynt or any of the other spots we had tried out on that Saturday night.

There was a huge difference in energy level the minute we walked in. It was more like a nightclub with people dancing and having a good time. Emir was awesome, he seemed to know exactly what to play to keep us happy and dancing. People passing by saw us having a good time so the place quickly packed out even more, turning into a great party for my friends birthday.

She had such a good time that she later thanked him for everything he had done for her birthday (he played almost all our requests, got us a round of drinks, played the best music, took a ton of pictures and even gave us some great CDs)

I have to say, Oasis sure has come a long way, it gets Two thumbs up from me now. I've been back a few times since then and have had a great time everytime.

My only complaint is, sometimes they turn the main bar's music off a little early. They also sometimes close the gate to the basement early leaving only One bathroom upstairs, and making me a little clostrophobic.

I personally like clubs that allow me to dissapear for a minute and head to another floor or another area.

When they close the stairway gate I feel a little bit trapped. I deal with it by chilling outside on occasion, But If I were them I would leave that open a little longer, it gives the club a more open and inviting feel.

I must not be the only one that feels like this because as soon as they lock the gate there is a noticable reduction in the party upstairs. This is probably because earlier in the night people can comfortably go up and down the stairs and the minute the gate is closed it puts an end to that freedom. I've been there a few times and the times they leave the gate open later are usually better nights.

Maybe it's because when you force people to go outside to go between the two floors you also give them a chance to just leave to another spot instead. Not a sound business practice if you ask me.

They have an after hours club downstairs that they start charging for at some point so I guess that's why they lock the gate, but I think they are just trading money upstairs for money downstairs. They might as well just charge to get in to the whole club after a certain time instead. That way they can keep their gate open til later and make it more comfortable for everyone... especially the ones doing the "Lil Pee Pee Dance" if you know what I mean?

Let Down – I went on a Sat night 6/20/09 only because DJ Keoki was playing there. What a huge let down! I will never go back. I hope Keoki never goes there again. He could do so much better.

The two bartenders on the main floor were the best. All the other staff are the rudest most hateful EVER! The girl working on the Hooka floor was a total female dog. How does she keep her job? She must be related to the owners. The female staff had so much attitude. Why would anyone go back and give them business? Despite the horrible service my group still tipped 20%!!!

I will never go back. Denver has to many other better options. I'm not giving my business to Alibi!!!

expensive drinks, boring music, no dance floor... – maybe this is the place to go hide out, considering the name, but where are you supposed to dance, and what are you supposed to dance to? The music was boring, laughable... nobody wanted to dance, and if you did, you had about 10 square feet to.

please do not go to this club.

New Years Eve 2008 – I can't really tell you if this place is any good because I never got in New Years Eve. This is thanks to Adrian Smith (Partner, LA Media Group 720-238-5172) and his idea of selling more tickets then he should have. To make matters worse he is not returning phone calls to help anyone get reimbursed. It's too bad Alibi's reputation is being ruined because of someone else's mismanagement.

the worst place ever! – Going to Alibi for New Years Eve was a waste of time and money!! A group of us had purchased tickets on-line ($25/person) a few days before the event. Advertisements of the event stated that there would be two drinks and a champagne toast when the ball dropped at midnight, none of that happened. When our group arrived at the club, we had to wait in line for about 30 to 45 minutes. Once we got in the club we wanted to know how to get the two drinks we were told about so my husband went to the bar (after waiting in line for 30 mins) talked to the bartender. The bartender stated that the free drinks were only being offered upstairs at a different bar and you had to order vodka drinks. We then later found out in order to get a drink you had to have a raffle ticket and you should have got it from the bouncer when you first came in. (those tickets were never given to any of us when we arrived). My husband and I finally got the raffle tickets and made it up stairs, found the bar and once again had to wait in line for about 30 mins and when we finally made it to the bar the bartender said it was after 11:00 pm and the tickets were now longer valid. Besides all that being a hassle, the DJ was not playing music that was listed on the advertisement. It was suppose to be sponsored by 95.7 the party. The music was horrible!!! All I can say is that we all had a horrible time and it was not what any one was expecting when we purchased the tickets.

Don't go Here – Alibi is a horrible, crowded place. I went there on New Year's and was extremely disappointed. A group of us bought tickets online, but still had to wait outside for 30 minutes only to enter an overly crowded club. We were supposed to get 2 drink tickets with gerneral admission, but did not receive those. We all had to go looking for someone who could give us our tickets. Then there was a 25 minute wait just to reach the bar. By the time we got up there and ordered our drinks the drink tickets were no longer valid! What a waste!!!!! Then we were shut out of going upstaires to the only dance floor because it was being closed off for VIP only. And to top off the night, there was supposed to be a complimentary champagne toast, but we got nothing. There wasn't even a countdown!! We all looked at our watches and it was passed New Year! Also, the place should have been shut down because it had to have been way against fire code. Inside is very small and there is only one small dance floor. We could barely move. I can't say enough to tell you how very disappointed we all were. Whoever planned the event did a very poor job and should be ashamed of themselves for screwing people over. I will not go back to this club EVER!!!!!! Don't waste your time!

Terrible!!! – Went here for New Years 2009 and it was terrible. The group we were with had all purchased tickets on-line in advance and still ended up standing in line outside waiting to get into the club for 45 minutes. Part of the ticket price ($25.00) was two drinks. Once I reached one of the bars I asked the bartender how to get the drinks, she advised that you had to get the drinks from the upstairs bar. We also later learned that we were suppose to receive two raffle type tickets at the front door that were redeemable for the drinks. Needless to say we had to return to the foot door to get the tickets which was quite a task in itself. By the time we fought through the crowd and made it to the upstairs bar the bartender advised us that it was past 11 pm and the drink tickets were no longer valid, so no 2 free drinks. I'm not quite sure what the DJ was playing for music but he really seemed to be enjoying it, but it was nothing that was familiar to anyone of the 8 people in our group with age ranges from 21 to 30 y/o. By 1100 pm the place was crowed enough to where the wait for a drink was about 30 minutes and it was nearly impossible to move without nearly causing a fight. So if your looking for an extremely poorly run club with lame ambiance and music you've found your place.
