Disappointed. We stopped here early evening after a day trip up Mt. Evans. We dine out only 3 or 4 times a year, so imagine our disappointment: After enjoying a lovely starter (the beet salad and Ceasar salad) our entrees arrived. My husband had ordered crab and caviar ($27), which turned out to be little more than generous plate of angel hair pasta floating in greasy sauce, garnished by literally 4 bites of crab and 2 of caviar. My Chicken under Brick ($22) was rubbery and tasteless. I had to wait at least 5 minutes after it arrived for utensils to be delivered (my originals had been used for salad and buttering bread), and another 3 or 4 minutes to get salt and pepper (pretentiously omitted from the table) so I could sprinkle the dish with at least some flavor. By then it was cold, and our waitress turned snarky when i asked that it be sent back to be reheated. It was returned several minutes later, steaming hot but now a mushy mess, and well after my husband had finished his four bites of crab. When our server collected our almost full plates, we expressed our disappointment with the entrees and their presentation. We were promptly presented with the full-fare bill without being offered dessert, much less a complimentary one. We became so weary waiting for the server to pick up our credit card that we wound up leaving cash on the table- what a waste of a $100 bill. The setting is gorgeous, but not worth suffering management's lack of pride in food and service.

Evergreen is now on the map for "Must Try"Colorado Restauran. Awesome food & service and probably the most romantic scenery west of the Mississippi! Loved everything about this restaurant, especially the beef florentine(sp?) The Gnocchi was absolutely to die for and our server (Katie) was just great. The wine list was wonderful and well priced. Cant wait to return!

Killer Restaurant in Evergreen. What an amazing restaurant. Killer seafood, the chef has been cooking for over 20 years and most recently at the Brown Palace. He and his wife were really friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The location is across from Evergreen lake, tonight it was snowing and the views (including the little fox out back who was entertaining us throughout our meal) were unbelievable. Geese landing, elk cruising past, the interrior was contemporary and warm...No Cons to speak of!
