Excellent ingredients - fresh and
innovative dishes showcase the chef/owner's expertise, which is vast! From simple eggs, potatoes and choice of meat to complex zuchinni pancakes with pistachio and cinnamon flavored honey butter, all offerings are carefully prepared to order. My personal favorite is the Zoey Monster which I order with two perfectly poached eggs. The odd (for breakfast) combination is very satisfying and flavorful . Once you get over having salad for breakfast you wonder why it isn't done all the time! The balsamic glaze and blue cheese combined with the chopped bacon make the salad substantial and incredibly savory. The salad is served on top of a thick slab of toasted foccacia and topped with your choice of egg preparations.
Counter service makes for shorter waits for your special breakfast. The baristas do a great job with the coffee which is served up one cup at a time. Speaking of the baristas, they want us to order more freshly made pastries from the case so they don't eat them all themselves! Fresh pastries include muffins, tarts and mini lemon meringue pies. Not to mention the scones, granola and other carbo/sugary delights.
The early birds get the best seats...visit now, before they're so popular there is a line out the door!
Although I haven't been, they're open weekday evenings until 9 pm and until 4 pm on weekends. Early birds can occupy the seats at 6:30 during the week, 7 on the weekends.
Go walk early at Red Rocks and then righteously reward yourself with a superb, and forward thinking breakfast at this great coffee shop. Not since Bette's Oceanview Diner in Berkeley, CA have I enjoyed such a wonderful breakfast experience!

Zucchini Pancakes to die for.
I was driving through the area visiting a friend of mine who lives in Lakewood and she suggested going to this small and cozy place.
I ordered the Zucchini Pancakes, and I honestly can say I was thinking about them for a week after every time I woke up.
The atmosphere is friendly and local - it was a great place to relax and have a great conversation

Neighborhood coffee place.
They have coffee and a small breakfast menu.
Service is somewhat spotty since the cashier is also a waitress.
Put a coffee pot out for refills.
