Save Your Money! I wish I had taken the time to read other reviews before my first visit and the start of a very expensive nightmare. I visited the salon after receiving a Val-Pak coupon. After my session (wrap) I purchased a 12-punch card for the wrap and colonic combination at $1,999.00. However, after my first colonic and wrap session, I experienced alarmingly adverse reactions. My doctor advised me to cease treatments immediately. I called Phyllis with the information from my doctor. Her response was nothing short of nasty. She left a malicious voice message, and became only more belligerent when I tried to talk amicably and reasonably with her in person. Long and ugly story short - although she stated that she would not perform any of these services on me again, she also refused to refund my money, stating that â??as a small business owner, she couldnâ??t afford to refund any money.â?? So, not only were her treatments ineffective and even dangerous for me, she proved to be unethical in her business. My advice â?? if you value your health and money, stay awayâ?¦far, far away from Ange de la Mer.

Cheap Decor and horrible location. I had a groupon for this place for the weight lost wrap they offered with the infared light. I get there, and the place is kind of a dump, not spa like at all. Decor was cheap wasn't relaxing at all. Once I got started with me they were telling me all these things about how the process work and how you lose inches afterward. They tell me to only drink water for 4-5 hours after I get done then try to do a veggie juice fast and only have juiced vegetables for 5-6 days after. They also told me to not lift weights because then it doesn't allow the pocess to work as well. After I was done, they said I lost 15 inche all over. I put my clothes on and realized that they were just as tight as they were before if not tighter. To me it was all a hype and doesn't really work. Of coarse your going to lost weight if you are not eating anything at all other than vegetables. To me the whole place was made for people who don't want to work to lose weight and will pay to be lazy. It really doesn't work and its probaby the diet thats making you lose inches not the wrap. Wouldn't suggest anyone to go. More relaxing and beautiful salons out there.

A terrible experience. Phyllis used to own The Beauty Bar and Atlantis Angels Spa in downtown Golden and must have closed it down, changed the name and moved here. Kind of like the witness protection program, I guess.

I wanted to find where she went and write a review because Phyllis may have provided the worst service I have received IN MY LIFETIME and I want to warn others. How she ended up in the salon business is a serious mystery.

In 2004, I signed up for 6 laser hair treatments and paid up front. The way payment works(or worked...it's been a while) for these treatments all over town is you pay a very high price for the 1st time, a bit less for the 2nd, less for the 3rd, etc. and it's very expensive so, if you start somewhere, you'd be likely to continue.

Phyllis is a no-nonsense person, but I was sick of waxing and thought PERMANENT laser hair removal was, well, permanent and would save money and hassle in the long run. Not something I fault the salon with, but I learned down the road that "permanent" in the beauty business means a year.

So, I paid $1100 and was ready to go. On my 3nd appt, I was heading in on a Saturday soon before Christmas and had a shopping/to-do list a mile long. I was kept waiting AN HOUR with no explanation or apology. I finally left, making a big scene(not something I'm proud of). On a subsequent visit, it was a slow weekday. Phyllis led me to a treatment room where she told me to strip down and she'd be in shortly. 20+ minutes later, freezing cold, I got fully dressed and walked out to see what happened. She was eating a salad at the reception desk and there wasn't another person in the spa. Since only Phyllis was licensed on the equipment, I couldn't use another person.

Recalling this still makes my temper rise. She's blasted by others on Google Maps so at least she wasn't against me personally...small concession!

pleasant visit. I had several pleasant visits at Ange De La Mer in fact i took my sister for a massage,my mom for a body wrap,my aunt for a facial,my sister inlaw for a body scrub,they all went back for more services without me , i have been back there about 15 times. The people that work there are very caring,and spent time with me doing the vibitory fitness machine ,it was lik e having a personal trainer.I am grateful for there service.great place and people.

Great SPA Day for me and my sister!. I had a great experience at Ange de la Mer Spa in Golden (although I thought it was closer to Wheat Ridge)...the spa was comfortable and friendly. My massage was so awesome, I thought I was floating afterward. It was my sister's birthday, so she got the full treatment of raindrop therapy, and an eonic (sp?) foot spa. She was also "floating" as we left the spa. It's been a few days since the treatment and I feel like my posture is better. Plus I'm sleeping like a rock all night long and waking up refreshed. Great Spa for me!
