Went in for my first hot-stone massage this weekend, and LOVED it. My therapist, Whitney, worked on my aching muscles with just the right amount of pressure, and gave me some tips for working out some of the more painful knots as they arise, so I won't have as many to work on at my next visit.

I am a massage snob, by that I mean that I am VERY picky and have a hard time saying that I LOVED a massage. Well, I have seen 4 of the massage therapists here at Essence of Touch and am very impressed by the quality of touch and knowledge each of them has. I would make a bet that all the others are just as good as well. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone I know that is looking for either an incredibly relaxing massage or has pain or injuries they need to manage.

This is a great place to go for a massage. I have only used 1 therapist, but I'm sure that the other ones are just as good. There is a new owner and she is very friendly and accommodating to your needs.

Just what I needed. I have been in a car accident many years ago, and have had problems since. My therapist was able to work with my injury and relieve my pain. What a great blessing this place has been!

The space was small, but the massage was great! Went in this past weekend and got a massage, and it was wonderful. The pressure was perfect, and the therapist showed me what I can do daily to ease the tension in my shoulders.

Will definately comeback!

just okay. Tiny little spa, kind of on the cheap looking side. The staff was very friendly! My massage was okay.... But just like the other person said very very chilly, I think i focused more on my toes then the massage. I asked the therapist to turn up the heat but she told me there was nothing she could do. they have a $39 first client special and thats what it was worh... I wont be returning.

Would Not Recommend. Made an appointment for an hour facial. I was charged for the hour but was in and out in 45 minutes. I was told that nothing was skipped and that I could get an extra 15 mins on my next visit, I will not return.

The facial was just okay, room on chilly side due to ceiling fan, staff was nice, would not recommend.

Unethical billing practices. On Feb 12, 2009 I tried to cancel a massage appointment for Feb 13, 2009 three hours outside of the 24 hour cancellation policy due to just finding out that I had lost my job. I was not trying to cancel for some frivolous reason, but because a massage is too extravagant an expense when unemployed. Instead of understanding the extenuating circumstances and keeping my business for the future, the person I talked to (she would not give her name) insisted on charging me $19.50. I ended up keeping the appointment to avoid a dispute over that charge, but this behavior is completely unethical and every potential customer should know how this company operates. My future business could have been saved as well as the business of the all the people I could have referred to this day spa. On top of the bad judgment of this company, the person who answered the phone refused to give their name. That is childish and unprofessional. In addition to losing my business forever, this complaint will be on record and I will tell everyone I can find about their behavior. It's not just this business that is losing money over immature behavior, it is also the massage therapist who is losing out. I will be sure she knows about it during our appointment.

Good, but not great. I was referred to this place by a friend of mine who absolutely LOVES it! Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as great, but not bad either. It was just okay. I guess I look for the extras these days and unfortunately, I didn't get any. The massage was good - she asked all the right questions and let me know what she was doing, but I just couldn't shake the feeling that she hadn't been doing this all that long? I am used to massage therapists "feeling" where it hurts and going for it. Maybe I ask too much?
