Live music on weekends is a great. I love the atmosphere and the service has always been wonderful. Live music on weekends is a great added touch.
Perfectly seasoned. I went here last night with my parents. My Dad loves this place. I would of been happier at the Cricket. However, I had the Thai steak salad and it was really good. Perfectly seasoned salad dressing and their service is really fast. We barely ordered and our meals came to the table. It is sort of military and a bit cold. I don't think it would hinder me from returning again.
very good..
Had to try the "New" Restaurant in town and we had a great time. We ordered just about every coarse you can thinking of. We started with Cheesy Bread, yummers. Their spinach dip is similar Cherry Creek Grill (sister restaurant).
I thought the Ribs, Lamb, and Hickory Burger were all very good. A bit pricey for what you get but if you enjoyed it, who cares! I did not care for the Thai noodle salad with chicken. A bit on the typical not creative side. I feel I can make this at home without much work.
The sides were OK. The fries doesn't seem to keep warm. I think it might be the style. It's never hot even when we ask for fresh ones.
I didn't order any of the Sushi. I'm not a fan of ordering sushi from an "American" style restaurant. If I want Sushi, I'd go to a Japanese Restaurant.
Service was excellent and corporate but very attentive. I would go back. I'm a fan of Houston's in L.A. and Ft. Lauderdale so I think this measures up to the others.
fantastic..
I came into Houston's with my girlfriend and had a blast! The food was fantastic. The service staff were very friendly always smiling and attentive. I never was looking around for my server and my drink refills were always prompt.
For starters, Angela and I had the thai tuna roll, which came with interesting dipping sauces that really accented and added to the flavor of the roll. Furthermore, the roll had coconut in it! I never thought that coconut could make a sushi roll taste so good. I was very surprised. I would say that Houston's doesn't just serve sushi, they specialize in making it. High quality ingredients combined with the artistic presentation makes Houston's a direct competitor to any of our cities best sushi restaurants (next time I plan on trying their salmon mango roll).
I had the ribs which literally fell off the bone using a fork. The coleslaw was creamy and tasty and the french fries were skinny and perfectly crisp. Angela had the Salmon (which is apparently Scottish??) with asparagus. I never tried the asparagus, but the salmon was very tasty and fresh.
For dessert we had a Brownie, which was delicious, gooey, nutty, and contained enough chocolate to get you by for a month, unfortunately, I never made it very far with the Brownie, the ribs were very filling.
I know I'm going back to this restaurant very soon..
This is a great place. My boyfriend and I were visiting Denver and were excited to see that Houstons was in Cherry Creek. What a cool looking building....very architectural and it just glowed when we were there at night. As I usually do, I checked out the Yelp reviews...wow, do they have it wrong this time. This is a great place. They have really good food and some awesome cocktails. It is less expensive in Denver than my hometown Houstons. I ordered the ribs as usual....to die for....and my boyfriend ordered the fish with sides. Our server was friendly and the food came out quickly. We asked the server to slow the pace down a little because we were having such a good time. There was a live jazz group playing in the bar.....this is a sophisticated place. I know it is a chain restaurant which usually means "ordinary" but in the case of this Houstons....it is more like extraordinary
LOVE them.
I just ate lunch with my clients here and I have to say it was a great experince! The who;le staff is so efficent and work as a team to give the best experience. I also have to rave about their fires... LOVE them! and I'm not a fry type of girl!
I will definitely be eating here again.
little something for everyone. Houston's is a well-decorated, cozy restaurant and has a menu with a little something for everyone. I am crazy about the veggie burger. It's not as healthy as it sounds since it's fried, but it's delicious. The Houston's/Cherry Creek Grill service is good since there are so many servers around and they all help out. I am hoping they are reading this, though, so I can tell them that you really shouldn't remove someone's plate if other people at the table are still eating. It's poor manners. A server tried to take my friend's empty plate, and she said "I'd like to keep it until my friend is finished." After that, we had 9 more attempts to remove it by different servers until they left us alone. It's a little too much of a good thing.
Good food but pricy. Pesonally I would rather go to cherry creek grill even though they are owned by the same company.
