I have never given a review of anything, ever. But I was so disappointed with the service of Appliance Nation that I felt I had to warn everyone. I went to Appliance Nation looking for a washer and dryer for a house I am renting. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on something that I probably wouldn’t be keeping; I guess that was my first mistake. I got a used gas washer and dryer for a great price, it was a little beat up but I didn’t care. After it was delivered the washer started making a terrible noise when it was on the spin cycle. I called the store and was told that they could send someone to look at it to see what was wrong. They said if the problem was really bad they would have to take the washer back to the store. Well I guess I made my second mistake of telling them that the washer was working (just making a horrendous noise) so they kept putting off coming by to look at it. After a couple weeks it seemed like the terrible noise had gotten quieter so I stopped calling. Then this morning the washer started shaking and making the worst noise it had ever made. When I call Appliance Nation I was told by the woman that I would have to bring the washer back to the store for them to look at it. Are you freaking kidding me!? Bring the washer back to the store in that deliver truck I don’t have? She was annoyingly unhelpful and I ended the call by saying I would be telling everyone I knew to steer clear of Appliance Nation. You should all take that advice.
I suggest you skip the headache and.
I suggest you skip the headache and pay full price somewhere else. They have a good selection of refurbished appliances at a fraction of the cost but the 1 year warranty is NO GOOD. Warranty only includes parts, not labor and you have to bring the appliance back to the store. At 8 months pregnant I found this to be a little challenging with a stackable washer and dryer. I offered to pay a trip charge for the repairman but they said no. It's a Kenmore so I'll be calling Sears to come and service it, at least I know they'll do it right and will back up their repair job. Wish I had of forked over $1200 for a new one to begin with.
Hope I can save at least one person from making the same mistake I did.
Unbelievable bunch of crooks and
thieves. I bought a used high-end string trimmer from them which ran for about 20 minutes before it crapped out. After acting like it was a major inconvenience to THEM, they replaced it with another one ... same thing ... 20 minutes and it also quit. After three trips and well over $200 spent in their store, they refused to refund my money and acted like a bunch of jerks. They wouldn't even refund me the $50 difference when I decided to exchange the SECOND defective trimmer for another model per their recommendation.
They have an "F" rating from the BBB for this very same kind of thing.
They refuse to issue refunds of any kind, insisting instead that they exchange one broken down, poorly maintained item for another until the customer just gets tired of this process, and forfeits their money and walks away.
The equipment they sell is not repaired, refurbished, or even maintained. Their own technician (Bill) called me and admitted that the units I was sold had not even had the engine oil checked prior to being sold to me. I still have the voicemail message.
BEWARE ... they are scammers, and they will NEVER make it right!
