Applewood charges far above the going rate for a job, plumbing or heating. I won't call them anymore. These reviewers who are recommending them aren't telling you that they were unhappy paying their unreasonable prices. For example, I called them about replacing my furnace, and not only did Jason tell me I needed to spend 3X the going rate but that I had to pay an electrician $800-900 for replacing a working switch with a fusible one plus a $100 inspection fee. They will also charge you $25 more for the permit than it costs them which other companies don't do. They may be quite courteous and do a great job, but so do a lot of companies in the area. I suggest that you save your hard-earned money and call one of them.
Applewood Plumbing and Heating - Outstanding (:>).
I contacted Applewood Plumbing and Heating last week, January 5th to come and work on my furnace since I had no heat. Jason the technician showed up replaced the heat exchanger to get me going again. We discussed the feasibility to upgrade / replace my furnace since I have had some previous issues with it. I decided to purchase a new furnace and Applewood came back Friday, January 7th to install the new unit. Mike G (electrician) showed up first then Mike H. (furnace installer) came shortly thereafter to begin the work. Mike H. had to come back Monday to complete the installation and change out old duct work that was done improperly by previous furnace installers 18 years ago. I will highly recommend Applewood P&H to anyone for any type of service they offer. The staff is very professional, clean, display excellent attention to technical details, demonstrates competent performance in their own areas of expertise and each tech goes "Above and Beyond the Call of Duty - ABCD". Each Tech that showed up promoted quality values throughout the Applewood P&H Organization! I believe they achieved the highest standard of excellence.

Best people to do this business with.. Our furnace quit working 10 days after expiration of our Gold Club membership. Not only did Applewood respond courteously and promptly on a Sunday to take care of our problem, but service Rep Kristen DID THE RIGHT THING (most companies don't care if it ran out or not) by honoring our Gold Club Membership anyway, and technician Jacob not only was extremely courteous but new IMMEDIATELY upon description of the problem what the issue was and corrected it. Problem solved, house warm, wife and kids comfortable, and I was pleased beyond measure that a company treats customers the right way like service "back in the good old days" when people treated people right. I am in the technical field and know that how they took care of my issue was in the best manner possible. Not even a thought given to renewing our Gold Club Membership with Applewood, and I will do business with and recommend no one else to anyone but Applewood!

They do it right the first time.. Doing business with APH has been an extremely positive experience. Not only do they respond in a very timely manner, but they will also send you a picture of the technician assigned to you via email so there is now question of who he/she is when he/she arrives. They provide excellent service and leave your house looking as good or better than it was before they arrived. I have never had a technician assigned that is not courteous, considerate and capable. I recommend APH to anyone interested.
