I purchased quite a few firearms from Grn. Mt. Guns back in the late 80s and early 90s when Ron owned and ran the store, located at Kipling and Jewell. His dumba$$ kid who now runs the store, has always been an arrogant little turd...now he's a big one. Anyway, with Ron gone I wouldn't go in that store on a bet.

Don't recommend at all... My family has bought here for a long time and I paid for some of the guns my boyfriend has bought from there and it's been a month since I did my background check... They lost my first one and then I went back and did a second one... They messed up and put that I was a male which in turn lead to my application being rejected. I went back in today nearly 2 weeks after my last background check and found out they messed up. They offered me a free box of ammo. I asked for a discount on a $950 gun because they lost the first one and messed up the second and they told me they could give me $25 off... I asked the manager for $50 or $75 off and he said no because he had to make money. With how fast guns are flying off the shelf I doubt they have to truly worry about that... Green mountain guns has lost my business and ill be sure to tell everyone I know not to go there. They might just screw you over.

Outstanding shop. I have been a customer of Green Mountain for about 10 years. I have always been treated well. The prices are the best in the area, the staff is very helpful and the service is great.

Took a weapon in to put on consignment and was advised it was a "collectors item" and only worth $70-$80. They would be "happy to sell it" for me..... I kept the weapon and went to 2 other shops- Both said it was a collectors item and one shop valued it at $800-$1000. The owner of the other shop offered me $850 cash. He now owns the weapon. The guys at Green Mountain are either: 1) not too knowledgeable, 2) too lazy to do 5 minutes of research or 3) trying to lowball consignment sellers so they can buy the weapons themselves. I think #3 is a good guess.

This is THE place for knowledgeable ladies and gentlemen to to buy, sell, and trade guns in the Denver area. Period. Their sales volume speaks for itself.

Could not agree with the comments more. This staff looks at you like they are doing you a favor if you can even get there attention. I buy a lot of guns. I don't go to a store to hold them, I go to buy. I waited at the counter for over 20 minutes in a shop with 3+ employees and not one person could help. I started an account on citysearch just to say how poor this shop is. I hope I can find another store to spend $1,900 at......

GRUMPY OLD MEN!!!!!!!!! I went in to purchase a new rifle (AR-10) and nobody in the store wanted to help me and when someone did help me they were EXTREMELY RUDE.!! The person that made an attempt to answer my questions was distracted by his buddy behind the counter and then walked away as if I wasn't even there. This wasn't the only bad experience at green mountain guns I called them to ask a question about ammunition and was left on hold for 15 minutes and they never responded. DO NOT GO INTO GREEN MOUNTAIN GUNS IT WILL BE A WASTE OF YOUR TIME!!!

My recommendation is 5280 armory very helpful

AVOID this now Nothing Staff. As has been clearly identified by others, not only is the staff rude, they have little to no knowledge about their store's inventory. There are plenty of people 'working' there but the last item on their to do lists is wait on customers. They stand behind the counter chatting with each other, looking at the guns, anything but make eye contact with potential customers.

Finally, when someone did talk with me, they knew absolutely nothing about the item.

Avoid this store like the plague... I would bet all of the 5 star reviews given are from employees who work at the store who have nothing better to do on their lunch breaks. Just a thought...

The customer service in this store leaves much to be desired. The employees who work there are next to rude. I walked into their shoddy store and was ignored for about 15 minutes. A female walks into the store and the creeps catered to her customer service needs right away. Its only obvious these guys dont get laid. So anyway, I put a remington on consignment and they basically used my gun as an example of what not to buy and steered people into buying their overpriced guns.

The gun dealers in this store only care about making a buck off your needs. They think they know it all just because they have an ATF dealers license and they can't answer a simple question. The creep didnt even know what a riser mount for a scope is when asked if they carried such a thing. These neo-cons know they will be out of a job when the liberal czars like nancy peloci effectively ban guns so in the mean time they are turning the gun industry into a scam, charging their overpriced 20% consignment fee and $35 transfer fee. Avoid this store like the plague! There are better options out there when it comes to gun stores.

Gone down hill. I used to by guns going back to 1980s. Sadly since the owner left I think his name was Don, but not positive. the store has gone down hill the new owner Dons ex wife and his kids have destroyed this great gun store. Employees rude, put a gun on consognnet and never get a call it was sold, and so on. To bad this used to be the only place I would by a gun. NO MORE.
