was a loyal customer for nine years, this place is going down the tube. recently my wife and I went, we left a 18% tip on a 23.00 dollar meal. apparently that was not enough, our bank statement shows up and we discovered that the waitress had OVER WRITTEN THE BILL TO SHOW THAT WE HAD LEFT A 28% TIP, we confronted the owner and asked to see the bill. they changed the end total! this is not the first bad experience we have had with this restaurant, we have experienced nasty wait staff, filthy restrooms, dirty tables and silverware as well as finding body hair presumably from the owner who does most of the cooking with his shirt half buttoned, also good luck if you want fresh cracked pepper on your salad, this was another one of our other experiences. the waitress got real indigent when asked "can I get some fresh cracked pepper" she looked at me and said "we'er not a 5 star restaurant do you see me wearing white gloves"

Best of the best. Our first visit sold us and we have not since been disappointed. The food is great, the staff and owners make you feel like part of the family. We take everyone here and they love the experience. It is usually busy but not packed so I almost hate posting this review, I do not want others to know. It is fantastic though, a hidden gem for sure

Fantastic Greek food.. The Athenian provides excellent food, excellent service, and an excellent atmosphere. The staff treats you like a part of the family, and is very helpful when choosing your meal. The food was to die for. Best spanakopita I've had in a long while. Hands down the best Greek restaurant in the Denver metro area.

Fantastic Greek Food!. This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Colorado. The food is wonderful; the pastitio is absolutly divine! The hospitality is the best I have ever seen. They really treat you like family here, and I wish my family could cook so well. Excellent!
