Tips for Japanese Specialists

The most insulting and disappointing customer serice experience I have ever encountered from a local business from the owner himself. Kind of thing that news channels go under cover to out business that practice this way. I guarantee that had I been a man,Mr.Randy Brown would not have treated me or spoken to me in the he had. Yes they replaced to parts that were damaged, but they did not fix the problem that had caused them to be damaged and because he wouldn't take the time or acknowledge that's all I was trying to accomplish with his auto repair shop, the car is still not fixed properly (concerning me that it may do more damage to other parts)and experiencing new ones. They didnt even fill the windshield washer fluid even though I paid for an oil change as well.He was rude, insulting, condesending, arogant and in the end when I asked if he was the owner or who would I complain to about his demeaner he told me if I had anything to say "I should get on my knees"!!!!!

Forget the whining from dissatisfied customers. Nobody in the auto repair biz gets it right 100% of the time. My experience with Japanese Specialists:

1. got me in for a new starter at 3PM on a Friday

2. got me out by 5PM

3. used a Bosch reman starter not some other unknown brand

4. charged me $347 total when I had been told by another shop it would be OVER $800!!!

5. had to go back because my cruise control didn't work

6. got me in in 60 seconds!

7. got me out in 3 minutes! (a hose had been inadvertently unhooked)

These are good peeps, Randy (owner) and Jason (mechanic) are great for the repair they did for me!

Very, Very dissappointed in my experience with Japanese Spec. I have used Japanese Specialists before and now after this last experience, never again. My wife and I brought in her car this morning with the intention of getting her valve cover gaskets replaced. They called and said a boot on her C.V. joint needed to be replaced. OK $95 for the part and $95 for labor. I figured that for for the gaskets and the boot around $400. Then they call my wife and tell her the car is ready for pick up, Oh yeah we need to mention we had to change a bearing on the engine. Then when we arrived they said there were other gaskets that we had to replace. The total bill was $775.00. That was with even a $75.00 coupon that we got on Amazon. That was a joke! They never communicated with us through out the day on what the estimates would be. They just randomly changed parts as they seemed fit. This company has a failure to communicate. Want to have fun emptying your bank account? Bring your car to Japanese Specialist. If they had just communicated with us they would have known we were not going to keep the car much longer and we did not want to spend all of our hard earned money on repairs for a car that was ten years old and will not bring us Blue Book. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. We did not even get a cordial greeting from the owner when we brought the car in. He was reading his paper and when we walked in he looked at us and went right back to reading his paper. Like he never cared we were there. Again, This business is a poorly run business,

Hi this is from Randy Brown. I own Japanese Specialists. There are 2 reviews that concern me. Suomi accuses me of stealing parts and not doing the work. That would be terrible if it were really true. Suomi may have been taken advantage of by someone else but not me. If Suomi is a real person I ask them to contact me so we can straighten this out.

The other is from snodg001.

This is a case of no good deed goes unpunished.

He jumped his car backwards and burned out his computer. He did not want to repair the car as we recommended with new parts. He ask if there were another way to fix it. At his request we found that a parts store we deal with knew of company that could fix it. The customer chose to try this unknown source. After numerous delays they were unable to repair it. This car was then sent to the dealership and received the repair I originally recommended. WE contacted Quality Mitsubishi to arrange the repair.

I am an Honest businessman I have been here for over 30 years solving our customers transportation problems. Come by and visit us I am sure you will find just what you need in todays times to keep your on the road with a minimum of cost and a maximum of care.

In the end we did everything the customer would allow us to do to fix his car. After spending many hours we never received a dime in compensation even though we were right from the beginning.

City search has no way for us to question or address these problems short of paying them to do it. When I called customer service all they could offer is for me to spend money with them.

Randy and his crew are FANTASTIC ! They are honest (told me I didn't need a brake replacement even though I begged)! Another time I went in for a repair and was in and out in less than 10 minutes! I trust them implicitly and recommend them to anyone wanting experienced, honest, reasonably priced and FUN car repair shop!

I give them 10 STARS **********

Re. Trust?. I took a Nissan Sentra to this place and supplied a performance clutch for them to put in. I also instructed them to change the transmission fluid. A year later I had clutch failure and found that the clutched pulled out was the original Nissan clutch (over 10 years old). Oh where O' where did my performance clutch go? Never again wll they see a vehicle from me.

Taking my car for 30 years. Japanese Specialists has fixed my cars for 30 years now. I don't know of another car repair that takes the time to explain things to you and actually educate you, but Randy Brown takes the time.

absolutely terrible. Absolutely terrible service. Assured me they could fix my car. Kept it for 5 weeks, while I was stranded in CO. Lied to me on several occasions about the status of a shipped part. In the end they did not fix a single problem and cost me thousands of dollars in lost wages. Took it to Quality Mitsubishi who were awesome and fixed the car in 3 days. I would never return to this establishment and I would recommend that no one else with anything more than a minor problem go there.
