Still the best...
by Seit
The Rose (as the locals call it) is still by far the best Country bar in Denver. The Stampede is D-Bag central on Wednesdays, The Cowboy Lounge is, well, Lodo. The Rose has big name and up and comers concerts, good people, and decent dancing...If it's late enough to where the floor isn't packed. When the Stock Show is in town, that is the time to be there...Granted there are tons of weekend warriors, and drugstore cowboys...It's still a good place to go. The parking is a little if though. Get there early enough to where you don't have to park on the street or in the dark lot to the east of the main lot.
- Pros: Concerts
- Cons: Parking
This converted warehouse is one of the best honky-tonks in the nation.

In Short
This former warehouse on the east side of Furniture Row has won the title of Best Country Music Club awarded by the Country Music Association. The 40,000-square-foot venue plays host to acts like Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, and LeAnn Rimes. Drugstore cowboys abound, but the Griz's easy access to I-25 lures the real thing from Cheyenne and Colorado Springs. Crowds favor Garth-wear on weekends, but most casual wear won't draw stares.

The Grizzly Rose is a blast! I love going there. It is a place that the family can go to and have a good time.
smokey rose

well whats a good thing about the most crowded country dance club in colorado? it's smokey, loud, and full of half dressed buckle bunnies.
well i guess the music is okay but they do sneak in alternitive and don't expect to hear much old country, but it's not like you could get out on the dance floor anyway. it doesn't sit high on my prefernce. hit the stampede or head out of Denver
- Pros: cowboys
- Cons: smoke, dance floor

Best Live Music Around
by whmonroe
The Grizzly Rose is a great place to catch live music five nights a week. They always have top-notch country acts there, with the occasional rock band thrown in for good measure. A great place for country dancing, but skip Sunday night as it is "family night" and the place is so over-run with line-dancing teenagers that serious dancers can't get a 2-step in edgewise.
- Pros: Great Music, Huge dance floor, Inexpensive
- Cons: Teen night
