One of my first dates in Denver(bad date...great bar) took me here and I have been back many times since. I just love the fact that I feel kind of like I'm in a little secret spot. It's not however, but for one evening, it can be you and your pals or you and your dates own Private Idaho if you're lucky. Almost as if you are in another time zone, a little bit flirty with the mood lighting, great cocktails and a little menu to match, the Cruise Room lets you sit back, enjoy your martini and chilllllllll.

The Cruise Room definately had a romantic atmosphere and a great list of martinis. However the only waitress seem to be to busy getting her own groove on in the corner with a couple guys and servicing us seemed to be more of a burden then her job. Definately turned me off from wanting to return with future dates as the customer service was really that bad.
Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Wait staff

Best Martini in town, barnone, served by pros. Ask the bartender to tell you about the history of the bar while you sip a Vodka highball with extra olives.

If you were to stumble across the Cruise Room on a Romantic evening out with the one that warms your heart and revs your engine, it would become the stage for one of your favorite memories. The Cruise Room has an unparalleled enviance that invites you to feel sexy, and far removed from any boring reality. They have great coconut shrimp too!
Pros: Tucked Away, Sexy, Great Menu
Cons: Stock of Menu items, Inadequate Staff

The most enjoyable bar I have ever frequented - you are the bar by which I measure all others now! A place where you don't have to re-order your drink, just let them know when to stop!

When you walk in to the Cruise Room, the first thing you notice, of course, is the pink glow of the room. Then your eyes wander to the Art Deco engraved images on the walls of various cruise destinations. After that, your eyes wander down to the delicious lemon-drop martini you just ordered, served in the Cruise Room signature crooked stem martini glass with a shaker full of your next pour and a half. The Cruise Room is a Denver original and serves up some of the best martinis in town. The service is good, though limited to a short staff, but hey it's a small bar. If you're hungry, you can order some goodies to your table from McCormick's Fish House next door. The Crowd tends to be 30-somethings, but that doesn't stop me (though I'm not too far behind.) Don't miss this cozy little gem.
Pros: Great Martinis, Cool atmospere, Art Deco decor
Cons: Very small

I have been going to the Cruise room for several years and have received very consistant service, product and a great environment. I suggest this bar to many friends for a relaxing evening of great conversation. The environment is by far one of the best in Denver although it is a very small bar. I also go to the Cruise room often with business associates as well as visitors from out of the country.
Pros: Atmosphere, Social crowd, Friendly staff
Cons: Can be crowded, Small single room, Parking

A room not to be missed in Denver. Nowhere else do you get to lull around in a red glow surrounded by art deco walls. Add a well-prepared martinis and some oysters from McCormicks, and life is good in the Cruise/Booze Room. Sure the weekends fill the room with the usual LoDo crowd (especially during baseball season), but even then it has a feel all its own.

I always take people to the Cruise Room if I'm trying to impress them. It's the real deal -- a real coctail bar. The bartenders are very nice and the lobby of the Oxford Hotel is always cool to check out.
Pros: "secret" location, lobby of Oxford
Cons: sometimes hard to sit
