3 of my coworkers and I took one of our coworkers to lunch. We had the most awful service that I have ever received at a restaurant. The waitress that we had gave us extremely poor service, but to top it all off for us was that she actually had the nerve to add gratuity to our bill! Our bill said that there were 10 people dining when she brought it to us, which I understand would usually mean that gratuity is automatically added. However, there were only 5 of us there! She also added 5 drinks on our bill when we only had 3 drinks (2 of us had water.) If you go to the City Grille and get Melinda as a waitress, get up and leave or ask to sit in another section. She will try and scam you! One of our coworkers had to order early before the birthday girl got there. She ordered her lunch, received it, and was almost done eating it before the waitress came back to take the rest of our orders. She never returned to fill our drinks, ask how we were, etc. By the time we were ready to leave, she would not bring us our bill so we could pay. When we finally flagged her down to pay for the bill, and she brought it to us we saw that she had added extra drinks to it and her gratuity which she did not deserve! We asked if she could split out the bill, or at least put each of our meals on our individual credit cards. She got really rude with us and said she couldn't do that that she would need to exactly how much to put on each credit card! She made things very difficult for us and we had to sit there for 20 minutes figuring out what everyone owed with the automatic gratuity the waitress put on the bill, plus everyone was paying in different ways and different amounts. The whole thing was extremely frustrating! We felt extremely scammed when we walked out of there.
