From Snowboarding the half pipes, to the night skiing, to the spectacular views of Lake Tahoe, and abundance of clean white sturdy snow, Squaw Valley is an awesome ski resort. The resort once held the US Winter Olympics in the 1960s and still offers an olympic size ice skating rink on the top of the mountain, there also heated pools, and bunji jumping nearby. The mountain is beautiful and with lake Tahoe & Reno just minutes away, you can't go wrong with deciding to go to Squaw Valley for your next winter vacation.

The night run is the best part of Squaw, it is 3 miles of endless ride and you can leave the lighted area and hit the park with no one to get in your way except a little jack. Only problem with the run that starts at the Ice rink is when you start you better hit the first hill balls to the wall because there is a super long flat that you do not want to get caught on or else you will have to unstrap and walk about a couple hundred feet. But that part is not a prob if you know about it and know what yer doing do theres your warning! The rest is the best. They closed the Gordon Biersch at the bottom? Boo

I loved Northstar, but it is too easy. So I came to Squaw for a challenge one day. I never have left since. Squaw is the best. KT-22, Granite Chief, Headwall and Silverado are the best lifts ever. GC in a powder day cannot be beaten. My only beef is that they closed down Gordon Biersch, so I can't get my beloved pizza and garlic fries any more. 10 out of 10.

Pros: Great terrain, lots of expert slopes, fast lifts

Cons: , Mountain run crowded, no biersch anymore

38 yrs skied all over nothing has it all as much as squaw.l Some have better steeps some better snow some better night life ; but put it all together and nobody does it better. If you really know the mountain it can be very very radical most people just see the surface and don't know the hidden jems. Hint- hook up w/ a local --if you can keep up w/ them

Pros: terrain, lifts, variety

Cons: tourists, posers

There's nothing like it here in California. I've been skiing since I was 5 and I am no 18 and Squaw is, by far, the best resort to do your skiing. The Village at Squaw has greatly increased what you can do there. It's kewl.

Pros: Huge, Always something todo, Mountain Run

Cons: Expensive

yeah squaw valley was definitely the coolest place ive ever skied. they have great snow, tough hills, obstacles and whatnot. The west side is the best part caus not many ski it, but its great. Stay away from the cliffs though, cause some r big, and i fell off one and got hurt, but its all good now. snowboarders stay away though, they say u can board everywhere but they dont allow u to

Pros: i saw two men having, sex in the bathroom

Cons: but then they asked, me to join them and i, said no

Squaw is a wonderful resort. I have been skiing my entire life. I know the skiing well in Tahoe, Aspen, Utah and Austria. Squaw has good challenging runs and enough terrain to keep you from getting bored. It also has fun stuff for beginners and intermediates. The lifts are mainly new and fast. Just beware of Mountain Run at the end of the day. Squaw is the place to ski!

Pros: varied terrain, weather, non skier options

Cons: crowds
