Excellent Neighborhood Bar
by Sejanus
Perhaps the best bar on East Colfax. A quiet and intimate atmosphere with a diverse clientele and excellent bartenders. The owner Pete, a dour but friendly Greek man, buys the first shots and gives a rose to all the ladies who come in the door, often hitting on them in a very charming and non-threatening way. He also keeps the bums and derelicts of East Colfax out, giving the P.S. Lounge a relative atmosphere of class in one of Denver's sleaziest neighborhoods. Most of the customers are locals there for a quiet night out, and raucous parties or fights are rarely seen. The drinks are standard in both price and strength. The bartenders are both beautiful and brainy, making them a pleasure to interact with. It's a cash-only bar (it is still East Colfax, after all), so don't bother bringing your credit card. Pizza can be bought from the adjacent restaurant, and there is a pool table and jukebox - on the point of the jukebox, it's one of the worst I've ever seen, loaded with utterly standard and uninteresting fare, though nowhere's perfect.
This unassuming Colfax Avenue dive is one of Denver's best jukebox joints.

In Short
A small bar, the lounge shares its building with Enzo's Pizza and its parking lot with Tommy's Thai. Inside, the bar is narrow, with booths against one wall, the bar against the other, and there's a small room with a pool table. The walls are adorned with pictures of patrons, and by the door stands the all-important jukebox, filled with artists such as Prince, Presley, Sinatra, Dino, Madonna, Social Distortion and Johnny Cash.
The Hawaiian Star

The PS has long since been sans-Crystal, but the good bartenders remain. Rachel brings them in, Whitney remembers all their names and what they drink. Anika, well is an enigma unto herself. I suppose Pete only hires the dazzling beauties, and some, like Whitney, have brains as well. Come see this hidden gem!
- Pros: Prices, atmosphere, Whitney
- Cons: none really
Ehhh..

This place is alright.... Kind of like your grandmother's den in the 70's with your white trash cousins behind the bar.
