Worst Dining Experience Ever
by shannonlea08
We visited the Landmark/Tech Center location for $1 Taco Tuesday last night. We've visited in the past and the food was okay and the margaritas were okay but the price was decent and the service was fine. Last night's experience turned me off Lime forever. I arrived to meet my fiance and a few of his friends to find that while the three friends had been served the waiter refused to serve my fiance because his ID was "fake". He's 27 years old; his ID is anything but fake. After demonstrating that ever single card in his wallet bears his name and many his picture the waiter still refused to serve him. We spoke to a manager who was unwilling to compromise or even attempt to keep us at the restaurant even without his margarita. While I appreciate the fact they were trying to keep from serving alcohol to minors the waiter and manager were extremely rude and unfriendly as we tried explain our situation and the fact was they were refusing to serve alcohol to a totally sober 27 year old. We told the waiter we were leaving and asked for the check (for the first three margaritas) which took another ten minutes to round up. When it came back they were charging us for four margaritas. Oh the irony. He apparently rang in the fourth margarita but refused to serve it to my 27 year old fiance. After mediocre food and a terrible experience with the staff and manager I would recommend skipping Lime (at least at the Landmark location) and I will not be returning.
- Pros: Great Location
- Cons: Staff and Manager Cared Zero for Customers
Be careful!!!

Be very sure to double check your receipt with what they actually charged you!!! This is the second time this has happened while dining here (it was not my choice to come back) and both times I have been over charged. The first was for around $100 and it took over a week of talking with management to sort out the problem. The second time the waitress added a 20% gratuity on our check so we did not tip any more, but when checking with the bank the next day she had added an additional tip to everyone who paid with credit card. The extra few dollars is not a big deal, but it’s the principal behind it. If they have done this to me twice, then I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Over Charged
One time is enough, unless you like turtles

The staff was nice, place was kinda cool. But the manager was crazy. She looked like a full grown teenage mutant ninja turtle, she even had a red headband, that's leonardo, right?
She was screaming at a lot of the staff and some guests. The worst part was when she delivered my food, and I could see her armpit hair. dark. black. armpit. hair.
The food was mediocre, and cold. I can get much better "Mexican" food at Qdoba, and not get yelled at by scary hairy manager.
- Pros: bartenders, staff
- Cons: everything else
funny spot

This place was great. It was my friends birthday and they made a sign for us with balloons and came out with free shots in limes. Our waiter was sooo much fun. We just had a great time. The margaritas knocked us on our butts. fun fun fun
- Pros: free shot, free feather boa, they made a sign
great atmosphere

NEVER GO HERE

I have been to the downtown Lime several times. I love the food but most of the staff is awful. I loved the hostess, but she had to apologize twice for how rude the OWNER was. Apparently being on a power trip is more important to this woman than her customers. Knowing that this woman cares more about being stubborn and rude than the customers that support her makes me never want to return here again. Not only was she rude to me, but to her staff as well. The place could be great, but apparently was put in the wrong hands.
Ick.

For starters the hostess was rude and told us it would be a 30 minute wait, even though there were a lot of empty tables in the restaurant. We went to the bar and had a few drinks...35 minutes later we will still waiting for an actual table. Wish we did not waste money on drinks waiting...
Food was gross. Our waiter was too busy talking to other waitresses and ignored us. I will not return.
- Pros: location
- Cons: everything
Yummy, Strong, Fun.....

I just moved to the area from Atlanta. I found this cool little spot. My girlfriends and i went in for dinner this past weekend. We had a blast. The pitcher of house margaritas, although inexpensive, were of complete quality. Our server was outlandish and over the top, but made sure we were entertained and having fun. the food was delicious. The chips were addicting but worth it. When dinner was over we moved to the bar area. great d.j....and although we made ridiculous requests....he managed ;--) we had a great experience all around. I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time!
One note - this is NOT a quiet place on the weekends!
Will never come here again!

If you want good Mexican food, go to Tamayo or Rio. If you want good margaritas and a fun atmosphere go to the Rio. The staff at Lime was very rude, and the bar and bathroom smelled like p u k e. I ordered the fried shrimp poppers and they were cold and mushy.
There are much better places to go in Denver than here!!!!
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Food, smell, staff
Medicore food, tacky night spot
by AnotherBostonTransplant
I have been to the Larimer location a few times, including a birthday and an after work event and both times was really turned off by the just-turned-21-and-can-drink crowd that make up a majority of the clientele--or those 30-somethings that wish they were 21. The food is mediocre--nothing to write home about--though their chips and salsa which they bring to all the tables are really yummy. Their drinks are pretty good--my mojitos and gin and tonics were very strong which was a welcome change!! Overall, however, the restaurant turns into a tacky club at night with bad dj's and a crowd that is nothing short of obnoxious. I wouldn't rule out going again, but it is certainly not a restaurant/bar in Denver that I would recommend if you're going past 6pm, especially on a Fri or Sat.
- Pros: OK if you're going for dinner, not ok if you're going at night, unless you like a tacky underage scene
- Cons: the other patrons
