Truly enjoyable

I recently went to the 404 with some friends and I had a BLAST! The service was wonderful and the food was delicious. I ordered the lamb chops, and my friend had the NY Strip steak- we could not believe the size of the portions! They are huge! We went on a Friday night and happened to be there for the Friday night comedy. The comedians were hysterical! If you are looking for a restaurant that has a great atmosphere and a wonderful outdoor patio - this is definitely the place to go.

• Pros: felt that i was treated as part of the 404 family
• Cons: parking can be difficult

Perfectly cooked catfish

This is a small, old restaraunt. The kind I love. My friend ordered the fried catfish for lunch. I got something lower on the food chain. WOW her catfish was gorgeous and delicious. Lightly fried and tender. Generous serving, too. Next time......SOON...... I am going to order that catfish for ME.

Awful steaks. Smelly place. Dirty...

Me and my Boyfriend wanted a tasty steak. He suggested Club 404. Last time I went there, I ordered the french dip with cheese fries. They screwed that up and put american cheese in my french dip . Kinda gross, but no big deal. Few months later (yesterday) we went to Club 404 and both ordered the "18 oz. Ribeye special" For $16.95. First of all it was already $16.95 on the regular menu and second, it wasnt even close to 18 ounces! The potato was probably 18 ounces. Anyways, the baked potato was overcooked. The rolls were cold and you could tell they just came out of a bag of rolls you get at the grocery store. They didnt have real butter. And the one big deal breaker for me was that they didnt even have REAL A-1 steak sauce cuz the steak wasnt very good. The place was not clean. This place needs a Tom Martino check or a restaurant makeover!

Oh, and if you want salad dressing... youll have to pour it out of this dirty old school maple syrup container.

I suggest ordering something like bottled beer because they cant mess that up.

Awesome Fried Chicken!

Club 404 is a great dive bar with super good Fried Chicken! Try the Merlot/mushroom gravy Yummy! And the garlic mashed potatoes! It's a great place to get good and smashed and eat lots of yummy food!

• Cons: they don't cut you off soon enough

Decent food, good portions but you'll wait for it.

We ate in the dining room, which apparently had one waitress for many, many tables. We had to get up several times to ask for refills from the bar since our waitress was non-existent. Ordering was very slow as well.

Nice neighbourhood niche...

Best French Fries on Broadway. Delightful bartending by the charming David. Brand new smoking patio and remodeled dining room have really improved the atmosphere. Hi-Def TV is now available to watch football on. Beer is always cold and food is always hot.

• Cons: Must travel thru kitchen to use restroom.

Worst bar in Denver

This bar is terrible. The staff is entirely rude and only caters to the same. Don't get fooled by their "Ladies Night" either. If you are looking for a bad time in a smelly, run-down place where standards are low, go there. Otherwise, consider yourself lucky you've never been to this crap hole.

Change is in the air!

Club 404 was always a fun place to go, but rather smokey. Over the summer, they added new windows, a non-smoking area and a big screen tv. The food is still mom's home cookin' and the service will always be more family like than fast. This year marks 54 years with the same owner Jerry Feld and his place always feels like home.

Offbeat, good, and friendly

Club 404 is a perfect complement to a movie at the Myan Theater a block and a half south. Great burgers, inexpensive steaks, very friendly, divey, and lots of character. Can be a bit smokey but well worth it.
