It's all right...but there's much better...
by johnbamford at Citysearch
Heard rave reviews and went. Micky Manor at 26th and Federal with the old Rockybilt burgers, Bud's in Sedalia, My Brother's Bar, the Cherry Cricket .....and even Sonic and Good Times are better to me...more flavor. If I lived in the area I probably would go back and try a small double meat just to be sure. So much bun you fill up on that when you just get a single patty. Not bad...just not outstanding.
The best burgers

I lived in Denver most of my life and have been eating at Jim's Burger Haven for 45 plus years. My husband and I started eating there when they were on the corner at 84th and a block west of Washington. I don't remember the name of the street. They didn't have seating and all you did was get your order and take it home. We moved to Wyoming 18 years ago but I still make it a point to eat at Jim's when I come to town. Keep making the good hamburgers.
- Pros: Good food
JIMS BURGER HEAVEN
by dlbittner at Citysearch
My family and I live in eastern Nebraska and no trip to Colorado is complete without eating at Jims.Throw your diet out the window and order the double meat with cheese. A more acurate name would be Jims Burger Heaven.
- Pros: Always good

Ok I have seen a couple haters on here and everyone is intitled to their oppinion. I have been going to Jims as Long as I can remember. It is one of the places that is a great Diner joint which I am sorry to say is sorely lakeing in this city anymore. I remember when there used to be the azar big boys now they are great scotts eatery, etc... And I have to say that Jims is the only true Diner left in town! I love the atmosphere and the cars!!
This is deffinitly recomended for those who enjoy Good Food at A good Value. Yes there fre other joints out there that have Better Burgers But I will be the first to tell you they leave me wanting more! Jims will fill you up for 7 bucks on avarage. And you cant say that about to many places anymore.
You do have to do a double meat and cheese though. And Every time I go I get the Tripple! Yes I can finnish it a large fry and a Large Malt, Thats the only way to do it, All or nothing. If you go keep an open mind and be receptive to the history of the place. I for one will tell you you will enjoy your self.
I am glad to see they made the Top 10!!

i have been eating at jims since my dad took us there in the sixties. this is one of those places that can't be duplicated. the burgers are huge and yummy. i realize that some people like their burgers a certain way. jims are great, so are the ham and cheese, malts, shakes, fries and rings.a real unique piece of nostalgia. don't listen to the haters. get down to jims and have a slice of haven! get it? start your own tradition here and enjoy.
- Pros: the food and history
- Cons: there's onlytwo
I'm surprised to see this one on the top 10 list.

Definitely disappointed. The atmosphere is interesting, but the burgers sucked! Both my husband and I agreed it wasn't worth going back. The shake or malt was OK, fries and onion rings were OK, bugers were way below average. Definitely not worth a top ten categorey.
Sorry.
- Pros: Cute kids meals in a car box
- Cons: the food was terrible
Nothing to write home about.

I read the reviews and decided to give this place a shot. The burger was "OK!" at best. I was not impressed. I ordered their onion rings and I did not find anything that would warrant a return trip.
- Pros: Not expensive.
- Cons: Average taste and quality.
Generations of customers flock to this old-fashioned restaurant for its classic burgers, malts and sodas.

In Short
Jim's has been around for decades, and if its brick walls and long counter with bar stools seem slightly run-down, well that's simply part of the charm. Folks crowd the place in search of the famous, ultra-thin, crispy-on-the-edges burgers with all the fixin's. The large burgers can be ordered with one, two or three patties, but diners usually try to save room for a pile of fries and a classic chocolate coke or milkshake.
You Have To get a Double Meat Burger
by shelbelbrusto at Citysearch
If you haven't been pleased with the burgers at Jim's you probably haven't tried a double meat. See Jim's uses 100% Colman beef specially made thin patties in order to get that great flavor. I also know for a fact that Jim's is switching fries from their thin, sometimes cold to a thicker better tasting fry that holds its heat better. So if you haven't been pleased with Jim's try them again but this time order a double meat and try their new improved fries (better yet get their great green chile cheese fires). Also for kids they have these great new Hot Rods that the Kid's Meals are served in!! Please continue to comment on your concerns on City Search because the owners do look at them.
- Pros: Very reasonable, Great Green Chile, New Fries
