Nice place, but it's manager is the owners son.He is not to sharp on retail sales. His staff is even worse. At night his managers are very young and not antique wise. They are very rude to customers alot of the time.Things do vanish from locked cases which they will do nothing about. The owner favors the large dealers that sell alot and will do anything for them even if it breaks the rules that the other dealers have to live with. His rules change everyday it seems. He will rent to anyone that sells anything very few antiques just alot of nick naks.he has alot of vendors comming and going.ck out other malls that are vendor and customer freindly.
Very Bad Experience

Spent over an hour looking for the perfect purchase and when I found it they had it held up front while waiting to get my offer OK'd by seller. I filled out my paperwork with my name and address on the item. I was told that even though they don't normally hold things that my item would be safe on the hold cart until the next morning when they would need to put it back in the case. I returned the next morning to be told that my item was no longer available for one reason or another. Claim was that someone saw it inthe hold cart and wanted it. They never even called me to inform me to come and buy it as someone else was interested in it. Never will I buy or recommend this store to any of my collector friends.
- Pros: none
- Cons: staff

First I'd like to thank everyone for their business. To K., I like to let you know that Scott has been the manager at The Brass Armadillo since it opened in December of 1998. His oldest son is 6, so he has not been left in charge. To dave g., you know that you never lost any items out of your locked cases, your so-called problem with the Night Supervisor had more to do with your unprofessional behavior towards women, than her professionalism. Remember there is something for every at The Brass Armadillo!!!!
- Pros: Greatest Store Ever!!!!!

as a former dealer and i speak for 3 other people that left the place as well, how do so many things get stolen from inside a locked case? we pay for ins. but when items off the wall are damaged its too bad for us! when an employee switches a price tag from 800.00 to 80.00 then has his buddy come in and buy the item the dealer it outta luck, this guy who managers this place can be nice , but as a business man he makes no sense, he told me that after he acknowedged i was "ripped off" as long as i kept a locked case and kept paying for one , he would let me have a small wall area for free, but i had to be renting a case in order to have the free wall. then i agreed to do that instead of taking the brass to small claims court as i was gonna do, the through the slow months where i paid money when sales were slow i kept my glass case because i had to in order to keep the wall for free, then scott decided to take my wall he gave me and cut in in half {size} well i was un-happy but it was free and he was still giving me "a wall" like he agreed, then scott took my things off the wall one night without telling me and pilled them behind the counter and rented my wall out, when i asked him, he said he had someone willing to rent that spot, so he rented it, {wow , i'm glad no-one wanted my glass case} so then scott said i could have another area it was a very poor location, but he was still providing me " a wall" my sales were cut by 3/4 but anyway may 29 i got a call from another worker asking me if i was going to re-new my 6-month wall space on june 1st , i told the lady that scott and i had a agreement that i have not been paying for the wall for sometime and that i was getting the wall free as long as i kept paying for a glass case, she said she would talk to scott , because she knew very little about it, on june 1st when i came in all my things were removed, scratched, damaged, nice 30-day notice a-hole have a little respect for someone thats been there over 9 years
- Pros: some nice people working hard there
- Cons: place ran by a child
Brass Armadillo, Denver

I loved the store. It had many booths/cases of lovely things. It took about 6 hours to see everything. I left with some nice purchases at reasonable prices.
The only complaint I have is that there were not enough floor walkers. It is a large store so it is tiring to have to walk up to checkout to deposit my finds when I can no longer carry them. They do have buzzers near the cases but that is mainly to get an associate to unlock the case.
They also had a great snack shop with a variety of good sandwiches (other than the standard hot dog and hamburgers) where you could rest and also a wide assortment of collector books for purchase.
If you are in Denver, don't miss seeing this great shop.
- Pros: good parking, variety, excellent merchandise
- Cons: need more floor help
