we have dined at the augustine grill before, but had'nt been in the new addition. it is absolutely beautiful...very cozy w/a fireplace, lots of windows and much more roomy than the original rooms. i had the sesame tuna and my husband had the rack of lamb. it couldn't have been more delicious. we had a new waiter, but the service was great and it was obvious he was trying hard. he suggested the creme brulee and i have to say, being a dessert fanatic it was the best i think i have ever had. my wife and i will be back & look forward to taking our guests there. i hear the holidays it's beautiful. a great treat as always.

  • Cons: parking sometimes

I like the Augustine Grill but why do so many chef's use so much salt? If I feel my food isn't salty enough I put salt on it. Isn't that why it's on the table?

This was the greatest find for our wedding reception! From the initial meeting, to the actual event and final check, we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening. Anyone looking for a cozy and warm European atmosphere with delicious food should definitely make a trip to this restaurant! And if the weather allows, dine on the patio. You can see the work and time that has been put into this place by the owners. Fantastic!

My husband and I love to try new restaurants, but we keep coming back to Augustine Grill. We have our favorites there, but once in a while we venture out and try something else, we are never disappointed. The owner always takes the time to visit with her customers (unless they want their alone time). Augustine Grill has a "cumfy" feel to it, located in a historic home that has been converted into a restaurant. Tha gardens are beautiful, we love to dine out on the back patio, especially on beautiful Friday or Saturday nights when they have live music. Definately not a place for little kids, we've seen kids allowed to run wild through their beautiful gardens as well as pick their flowers. We've also seen well behaved kids treated very nicely by the staff. We have raised our kids, so we choose nicer restaurants hoping we don't have to deal with someone elses. We have seen the owners work very hard at making some wonderful changes over the years, and as I said, we keep coming back, it's worth it!

  • Pros: Ambience, cozy, gourmet menu,
  • Cons: Parking (during the day only) night time parking is fine

We came to Augustine Grill for a special night. We called ahead and worked with the owner who helped make our dinner so special, she made sure every detail was there, she even made special menus just for our special occasion helping us keep within our budget while still giving our guests wonderful choices. The portions were perfect, the flavors of the foods top notch! I would definitely suggest making reservations, I find it funny that people expect they should be able to just show up and be served. This is a wonderful place to dine, plan ahead it's worth it.

We have been to Augustine Grill many times, dinner for the two of us, or for a special event. The place may be old, but it is historic, part of the charm. It is beautifully decorated, and in the winter has such a cozy feel with the fireplace. We love the back patio in the summer, and find the inside romantic. We always have a hard time deciding what to order because we enjoy so many things on their menu! We try not to dine on a Friday or Saturday night as they are usually very busy, we prefer a quieter night. However, Friday and Saturday nights on the back patio are great with the live music! The prices are well within the range of other restaurants, but I would not recommend bringing children, unless they can sit well behaved in this NON-Fast food restaurant. It's nice to be able to enjoy a meal at a relaxed pace. It is or favorite!

We dine at Augustine Grill regularly and have for many years, it is always my first choice when asked what my favorite restaurant is. My customers that travel the world agree that Augustine is one of the finest establishments in the area. The food is fabulous, the ambiance is comfortably elegant and the staff always deliver good service with a smile. Treat yourself to a great meal in a relaxing atmosphere, you won't regret it!

We dined at this establishment and found the staff to be as distasteful as the food.

It is a small hole in the wall which claims to be charming. The wait was too long. Food not so good and over-priced.

Not to mention the smell in the bathroom which happens to be crammed right next to the kitchen.

Maybe invest in proper plumbing. Nice but not so nice try on the charm!

We went to this small hole in the wall restaurant that cleary thinks more highly of themselves then the patrons. We were treated poorly and rude by the waitstaff. For those of you whom have ever had a pleasant dining experience don't let these reviews of it being good fool you. The smell in the bathroom is horrible as is the food.

Try Sienna much better. Finally some class in Castle Rock!

We have been many times to the grill with my 2 year old son and have never had any problems with it! good food, good service. It is more of a couples place but it is good for families too!

Wonderful, quaint restaurant with a European feel. The food is always so tasty and the quality is excellent. Not a place for ill-mannered children though, the seating is intimate. We witnessed children tromping through the beautiful gardens next to our table and picking flowers. We love this place. Have the Ahi Tuna or Lamb!

  • Pros: Cozy and a great patio
  • Cons: not for small children
