Men's Business Clothing at Severe Discounts by Bruce C. at InsiderPages
Contributor at Insider Pages
This store sells, as I have heard its owner say, new, near new, and was new men's clothing. Much of its inventory is lightly worn consignment merchandise, but in the last few years they have sold more overstocks from many of the best men's shops around the country. They also sell sportswear. I have purchased high-end clothing, often for about 10% of Cherry Creek prices. In addition, they are often able to outfit men needing a repectable looking dark suit for, say, a funeral in a couple of days for $100 or less. They also have a real tailor for alterations on clothes that you already have or have purchased from them or from anywhere else. He can also fix your wife's clothes. This is the only men's consignment store in Denver and, in my experience, one of very few of its kind in the country. This is where men who can afford to spend several thousand dollars on a suit send their old clothes to make room for the new. Unfortunately, clothing is not an investment so a $3000 suit might only sell for $300, despite the fact that it is in like new condition. New overstocks from expensive men's stores, last year's fashions, also sell at deep discounts. Personally, I try for a classic look so last year's dark business suit looks about the same as this year's. for what I might spend for OK clothes at a department store, I can wear high-end Italian clothes. Believe me, you can feel and see the difference. Or you can choose to buy department store quality and save most of the price for something else. But there's more: the best deals are at the monthly tent sale (last Saturday) where new items sell for $10 and used for $5, despite that $200 price tag still on it from a high-end shop back east. Look around Cherry Creek to check prices (you simply won't believe what some men spend on clothes) then visit Dress For Less. Not only are the prices better, but the R

A few years ago when I started shopping at Dress 4 Less it felt like being back east where the big corporate stores were trying to play catch-up with the private mens stores. D4Less is by far my favorite place to shop in Denver. They do have consignment clothing, but now are focusing big time on liquidating for other stores across the country, like Larrimor's of Pittsburgh, PA, Van Boven of Ann Arbor, MI, and Kilgore Trout of Cleveland, OH (which is where my family frequented). Being able to grab a Brand New Armani or Zegna suit for around $500.00 is quite the bargain. So if you haven't been there, go soon. They have a huge tent sale the last Saturday of every month where you can get brand new ties for $1.00 and a brand new suit for $10.00. Be sure to tell Rick Reese the owner that you read Mike Hall's review and tell him i said to give you a discount.
- Pros: Great selection, warm shopping feeling, and fantastic deals
- Cons: Not enough Brioni in a 60EUR, lol.
This place offers the chance to buy a suit without breaking your budget.

In Short
Like the name says, jackets and slacks can run less than $200. Undershirts, ties, shoes are bargain basement prices. The catch: The majority of clothes are pre-owned. However, the store does an excellent job of cleaning and sifting out any below-par threads. Tailoring is also available. Some of the labels might not be recognizable, but don't be surprised to see some big names as well, such as Kenneth Cole, Armani, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.
