Consistently Good Food, Reasonable, Pleasant Ambiance

Yia Yia's has been one of our favorite restaurants for years, but the last few months we have gone, we have particularly enjoyed the offerings provided by the new chef. One pre-planned party we attended was an off-the-menu, multiple course event that was customized for the guest of honor. The food was spectacular, and many commented about the outstanding wine pairings for each of the varied courses.

We look forward to our next visit to Yia Yia's as the service was great, along with terrific food and pleasant ambiance.

Don't Miss Yia Yia's Fantastic Brunch!

We had a phenomenal brunch at Yia Yias this past weekend. The weather was fantastic so we were able to enjoy Yia Yia's beautiful lakeside patio. The buffet is plentiful and so yummy with everything from an omelet station to beef, turkey, crablegs and shrimp. There is a wonderful array of sweets as well and a Bloody Mary/Mimosa area set up. The waitstaff was terrific - Christian was just the best, and our whole experience was a real pleasure. We'll definitely be back and suggest you give it a try for a special Sunday morning treat! You'll be glad you did!

Great food, great wine, great time!

We always have a great experience at Ya Ya's and recommend it highly to everyone interested in wonderful food, a friendly waitstaff, knowledgable sommelier Jason and a terrific atmosphere. The addition of new Chef Aaron has taken a good menu over the top with new entrees, cocktail hour specials and wonderful pairings that leave you wanting MORE - but you're too full!

A warm and friendly atmosphere is enhanced in the summer by a wonderful water side patio that allows you to enjoy our terrific CO weather and a great meal at the same time. Spread the word - it's a great place and you wont' be sorry you made a night of it at Ya Ya's!

Disappointing - overpiced and lousy service

We've been to Yia Yia's a number of times over the past month or so and it's likely to say I won't go back. Twice we got bad wine recommendations from the "wine specialist" or whatever. The food is overpriced and the selection is lacking. Service is rude. The desserts are nice though - but this place isn't worth it just for that.

Wonderful Experience

We visit this restaurant often and have always come away satisfied and pleased. The food has been excellent and our wait staff helpful and enjoyable.

We were here last week.

The Double Pork Chops are the best in Denver...

When we want a special evening, Yia Yia's is about our first choice.

Terrible food and service

My food was terrible and overpriced. The server made some terrible wine recommendation, and the manager Scott was argumentative when I tried to send it back.

They used to have certified Sommeliers (2 of them), and now they have none. They now have an old wine rep serving as the sommelier, or more appropriately- wine steward.

I used to enjoy all of the wonderful wine recommendations- great values no matter how much you spent. Now they try to upsell you into some expensive wine that you never wanted.

Boooo! I will never go back again.

Not what I remembered!

I recently dined at Yia Yia's and discovered that the owners had fired all managers and sommeliers. Some snooty, arrogant new manager named Scott was simply terrible. I have been enjoying the same old faces for the past year, but no longer. The server knew nothing about the menu, wines, nor proper etiquette.

And this new "sommelier", or more appropriately "wine steward" has no experience or certification. I can't believe the downturn this once-great restaurant has made.

I will never return, and make sure my friends don't either!

Best wine list in Denver!

For a casual upscale restaurant, Yia Yia's has the most fantastic wine list in town! They feature an entire page dedicated to "Grower Champagnes", which I have never seen before. Their wine prices are incredible, not your standard 300% restaurant markup. After dining at Flemmings, I paid $185 for the same bottle of wine (same vintage even) that Yia Yia's was only charging $115 for! For a wine lover, this list is heaven. I saw at least a dozen bottles offered on their list that are next to impossible to buy anywhere. Their by the glass selection is wonderful as well.

The food is great too, and they don't skimp on the portions! I highly reccomend the pork tenderloin. They also have a beautiful patio overlooking a pond with fountain. To my surprise, there were giant Koi swimming around in the pond.

Diners must check out the happy hour as well, $5 appetizers like pizzas and mussels. They also have some great $6 wines by the glass for happy hour.

Service was incredible, as the entire staff was well versed in the menu selections as well as wine selections. I will definitely be returning frequently. As far as dining in the Tech Center goes, this place is top notch!

Great food, great service

We went to Yia Yia?s for an early mother?s day lunch for my mother in law. We chose Saturday for a late lunch, and asked to sit on the patio. The weather was great, the breeze off the pond made it comfortable and our waiter was a wonderful server! We decided to go with just appetizers and deserts. He suggested doing the combo to save a couple bucks and also kept us from ordering too much food, which I really appreciated!

We started with the crab cakes ? great taste, sauce had a nice kick, also the gnocchi which I would suggest a pass on (I know everyone loves it, but I found it a little lacking), and the calamari was superb! Nummie! We added on a humus too- and dang wasn?t that yummy! I?d suggest to start off with extra grilled pita from the get go ? you?ll need it!

We ended with a fabulous desert ? a brownie with chocolate sauce wrapped and baked in filo dough with more sauce and vanilla ice cream! OMG! We split it between the 3 of us ? what a way to end a meal!

• Cons: People wil bring kids and that makes it not quite as enjoyable
