Excepetional entree's , wine and service
by Marccastle
Once again I have been awed by the dining experience at Brooks Steak House. In business I have had the opportunity to travel and dine with the finest. Brooks provides high quality entree's paired with a wine list that is second to none. After dining with Brook's for the past two years I once again was provided exceptional service by ( Del Mar ) a young man that is engaging and professional .
This is an independent Steak House and I highly recommend it.
- Pros: Excellent entree's, excellent service, valet parking
Better food than other high-end Denver steak houses we've been to
by SueandTom
We have been to Del Friscos and Mortons and found the food superior at Brooks. Prices are high given the outdated decor and casual dining atmosphere.
No Sommelier on Saturday night
by ray7808
We have been Brooks customers for years and recently have been disappointed with the experience. Based on their high prices, we cannot recommend dining there.
Recently we visited on a Saturday night. We asked for help selecting a wine, and we were told that there was no Sommelier on duty. On a Saturday? To me this indicates problems with management.
Other than that, the lobster was great, steak was so-so, service was OK, bread tasted day-old, vegetables were undercooked, and the creme brulee was very good.
No longer a good value.
- Pros: generally good food
- Cons: so-so service, no sommelier, pricey
Brooks Leather Factory
by BobCleveland
Four steaks as tough as leather. My feeling is three strikes and your out. We were a party of six and ended up with four over cooked, low quality, gristly pieces of meat. I used to be a fan of Brooks, I have however noticed the quality is just not there anymore. The waitress confirmed my sentiments saying that " she has been hearing more and more complaints" (we tipped her well, the poor thing). Our side's were cold and tasteless. All in all one of the wost dining experiences we have ever had. Make room Capital Grill there will be six of us.
Great place!

I love Brooks Steakhouse! The food is good and the service is awesome. A couple of reviews have said that it was too pricy, but on the contrary to those statements. Don't go to Brooks if your usual eating budget is McDonalds, that is just stupid. Brooks makes amazing steaks and the service is great! It is great for a romantic evening and also, in some rare cases, good for kids, it is really the kids behavior, but if you have good kids it is great! Hope this helps!
- Pros: Valet, Wait staff, Food
What a nice surprise!
by smavitz
We've driven past Brook's for years and always meant to stop in. Of all nights, we decided Valentine's Day was the night to give them a try. What a nice surprise! We made reservations two days prior and yet were not on the list. The front desk never skipped a beat and made every effort to get us in. We sat at the bar for awhile and I had a very yummy lemon drop martini (Good, but not the best I've had - Cheesecake Factory at Park Meadows has Lemon Drops to die for!.. I digress.) While sipping our drinks I noticed how quickly and efficiently the tables were being turned. The restaurant is warm, comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hostess came and found us just as we finished our first drinks. We were seated in what appeared to be a banquet room obviously set up for the expected increase in diners. Still very comfortable. The service was fabulous - attentive and friendly. The food was just as we had expected. The steaks were perfectly prepared. No seasoning or frills - just the way they should be. Brook's is not cheap - however not as pricey as Del Frisco or Morton's for the same service and quality of food. To be honest, I did not hold out much hope of getting great service or food on such a busy night. But Brook's got it right! We'll be back.
- Pros: Service, Atmosphere, Value for the money
Terribly tough prime rib
by gga
We visited Brooks for Mother's day and the two fillet mignones were OK. We ordered three prime rib dinners and took two bites and ate no more. Called several days later to inform Brooks of the issue and they were in total denial and said there was nothing they could do because we didn't complain at the time and that no one else had complained. Oh so maybe because nobody else complained my complaint was not valid, huh? It was Mother's day and I didn't want any conflict. I explained to Leslie that I was not looking for anything free and at that point she offered us a gift certificate. No thanks. Any how everybody makes mistakes, it is only the pros that are smart enough to admit it. Avoid this place. Childish behavior in management...you know the drill.

- Pros: Rebecca the server, was nice
- Cons: steaks were so tough, the steak knifes were, ineffective.
Where high-rollers and the business crowd indulge on the city's top beef.

In Short
The large sunken dining room features dark polished woods and brass fixtures. There's also a bar area and a sophisticated cigar cellar offering several high-class selections. The steak selections include table knife-tender filet mignon and the massive 24-ounce porterhouse. King crab legs and lobster tails are expensive but tasty seafood options. Fresh fish specials and the thick, meaty crab cakes are also available. The house dessert is pound cake and ice cream smothered in chocolate.
Best steak ever

We had a business meeting there and the food was out of this world. The porterhouse that I ordered was delicious. Everybody's food was superb, service was top notch and new everything on the menu to a tee.
- Pros: service , atmosphere, cream corn
Overrated and Expensive
by sonewa
Being from Texas, my husband and I eat steak a lot. This restaurant was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. I was very disappointed in the steak. Like another reviewer said, they was no flavoring or seasoning. It was as if they threw a steak on and charred it. We both had bone-in ribeye ($33). I thought mine was too charred, my husband liked his, but he eats his medium rare. Mashed potatoes were nothing special and the broccoli was just steamed...nothing special. The one good item was the creamed corn. Even the s-berry shortcake was just okay. The restaurant is beautiful though.
- Pros: Decor, Creamed corn, Service
- Cons: Cost, Lack of flavor
