SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE!

by susanclev

We arrived @ 5pm and had a drink and an appetizer @ the bar. We were seated for dinner at 6. We ordered the lamb, salads and a bottle of wine. Forty minutes after we ordered we were told they had just sold their last 4 orders of lamb. How could they already be out of their dinner special?! The waiter was not apologetic at all and we were very unhappy so we asked for the manager. He was very unprofessional and extremely rude. He said we didn't have to pay for our salads but that was all he could do. We walked out very angry and met the owner as we were leaving. He was the worst! Loud, insensitive and acted like he could care less. What was suppose to be a special night turned into anger, tears and an empty stomach. We will tell everyone about our horrible experience @ Perfect Landing!

  • Pros: Martini and the tuna @ the bar
  • Cons: Everything else!

NOT AT ALL WHAT THEY ARE CRACKED UP TO BE!!!

by buffylou

WELL, WHERE DO I BEGIN! tHE OWNERSHIPTHERE IS HORRIFIC. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY TREAT THEIR STAFF LIKE DIRT. WE WERE THEIR ONE EVENING, AND THE LITTLE OWNER MAN, MUST HAVE HAD SHORT MAN SYNDROME WAS YELLING OUT LOUD AT EVERYSTAFF MEMBER HE COULD FIND! tHENHE PRECEDED TO SIT AT THE BAR AND GET LOADED!! NOWi HAD TO WATCH! THE FOOD WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. THE NIGHT STAFF WAS RUNNING LIKE CHICKEN WITHOUT HEADS, NOW OWNER MAN WAS YELLING AT THE BARTENDERS. HE HAD NO REGARD FOR ANY OF THE GIRLS WORKING THERE, THAT I COULD SEE. HMMM, WOULD HE HAVE TALKED TO A MALE EMPLOYEE THAT WAY, OR DO IT IN FRONT OF THESE GIRLS HUSBANDS? I DOUBT IT! I MAY GO BACK ONE MORE TIME, NOT TO EAT, JUST TO WATCH THIS MAN. I CAN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. AS I SAID, MEDIOCRE, COLD FOOD, PRETTY EXPENSIVE, UNLESS YOU ARE ANOTHER MALE CHAUVANIST, THERE FOR HORRIBLE ENTERTAINMENT FROM THE OWNER!

  • Pros: NICE VIEW OF MOUNTAINS AND AIRPORT
  • Cons: OWNER, FOOD WAS COLD

Discriminatory Towards Families with Children

by tesscmt

My husband and I have gone to breakfast at this restaraunt several times. Today, we decided to bring our ten month old son with us to look at the airplanes and have lunch. When asking for a highchair we were told that they didn't have any, nor booster seats. Lunch without a highchair consisted of trying to feed my son on my lap, getting food everywhere and having to eat separately so that we could take turns walking our son around outside of the restaraunt. Normally, our son will sit in his highchair neatly eating his spoonfulls in a tidy manner. Happy to sit in his sit and look around. Needless to say, our lunch was ruined. When we asked the management why they don't provide highchairs we were told that there are places such as "Chuck E Cheese and McDonalds for children". They are obviously catering to the wealthy jet setters that fly into the airport and want to keep the kids out. They admitted that not having highchairs discourages people from bringing children, and many of their regulars that do have kids, bring their own high chairs. My question is why should their customers have to do that? I was embarrassed by the way that we were spoken to and felt unwelcome. I will never eat here again.

  • Pros: Good burgers.
  • Cons: Discriminatory. Horrible ownership.

Another over-hyped restaurant

by bevo76

I was very excited to have reservations for a family breakfast. I have heard good things about Perfect Landing. Right off the start, the hostess was very rude. She seemed very inconvenienced by the fact people were there to actually eat. I found it strange this was a restaurant with kids at almost every table, yet they don't offer high chairs, booster seats or a kid's menu. The waitress followed the lead of the hostess and made it clear we weren't a welcome part of the restaurant. I ordered a southwestern omelette with their "signature" potatoes (which come with every dish). The omelette was quite pleasant, but the potatoes tasted like a freezer. If their signature item tastes like it has severe freezer burn, shouldn't they offer something else? The four other people in my party also stated the freezer burned taste of the potatoes. The fruit that came with my breakfast had a nice selection of various fruit and mold. This was hardly the breakfast I would expect for $20. I really don't know what people see in this restaurant. The service is fine, but just outright rude. It is apparent the older crowd likes this restaurant. I can only think it is because their taste buds have been destroyed by Country Buffet and the Olive Garden. If someone else is paying and they insist on going to Perfect Landing, by all means, go. Just be prepared for unfriendly employees, moldy fruit, an overpriced menu and freezer burned potatoes.

Well, it has an interesting view going for it

by rickibobby

We were excited to go here since we had heard good things about this restaurant. We made reservations and got a table by the window with a good view of the runway. There were no boosters, highchairs or children's menu. The service left much to be desired.... the hostess was not quite rude but certainly not welcoming, the waitress acted overwhelmed but the restaurant was only moderately busy. As for the food, the crab in the omelet was old and gray..the fried potatoes tasted of the freezer they came form. The pancakes were good and fresh fruit bowls were lovely. We probably won't return unless we're stuck at Centennial and terribly hungry!

  • Pros: Interesting view and environment
  • Cons: food and service

The best... simply the best!

by smavitz

Follow the Perfect Landing sign from Arapahoe into the Centennial Airport area and hunt for the restaurant. It is not easily found by any means... but keep looking! You will be rewarded for your efforts. We've been going for several years since finally finding it we love the experience every time. Nice bar area, large comfortable dining area and huge floor to ceiling windows overlooking the airstrip. There is lots of activity with the comings and goings of the planes. The menu is well rounded. Something for everyone. Expertly prepared steaks, yummy pasta dishes, light salads (try the grilled Caesar - yes 'grilled' - it's amazing), lamb, veal, and chicken. The sides are unique and always well suited to the entree. Last night my roasted chicken came with a stack of fresh lightly saluted veggies and a crisp cornbread slice. My sister had the seafood penne pasta and it looked fabulous! My husband ordered the prime rib and said he hasn?t had better for a long time. The service is well-versed, quick to respond, attentive and pleasant. The restaurant owner walks through for a couple of meet and greets and it is welcome. The Perfect Landing is Centennials best little secret. Hard to find ? worth the hunt.

  • Pros: Great food, service and value!
  • Cons: Not easy to find.

Fantastic atmosphere and food is excellent (Absolutely BEST CRAB CAKES)

by nlb1982

At first, we had only gone to Perfect Landing for breakfast. We started going on the recommendation of a friend and soon found ourselves there every week for the delicious Eggs Benedict and Huevos. Both were excellently prepared and served with the best side of freash fruit and "Sean's" potatoes that I have ever had. The restaurant is at the Centennial Airport and there is not a bad seat in the house. Watching all the planes come in and leave was an added bonus to the breakfast. We have even seen some F18's do a fly by. It was incredible. Recently, we tried a few dinner appetizers. I am sorry we waited so long to try it for this. The crab cakes were so phenominal and stuffed with Jumbo lump crab, that our second appetizers was the seafood sampler (another crab cake was offered on this plate) along with calamari and mussels. Unfortunately we didn't have time for dinner. But we are planning on returning soon to try out the main dishes as they looked quite inviting. I would strongly recommend reservations for Sundays or Holidays as they are extremely busy.

Absolutely excellent food. A great atmosphere exists due to the location at Centennial airport. The airport's private so the regular airport chaos doesn't exist. Great portions of food and good service

Great date spot

by jayhawker108

At the perfect landing you sit right on the runway at centennial airprot, you get to watch all of the private planes take off and land, its truly a sight to see. The food is well worth the money, but the location adds a whole different aspect.
