I have been going to El Parral with my family for the past 15 years at least and have never been disappointed. Heck, this was my birthday destination of choice for years and years. They are fast, consistent with flavor and it's crazy cheap. I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease and the saddest thing to me was that I can no longer get their burritos (especially the chicarron ones smothered with lettuce and cheese! favorite ever). The menudo is always good and satisfying and the taquitos de carne adobada will always make me happy. I think it's sad that people would rather have fancied up Mexican food when this is so comforting.
Good authetic mexican food by Thea S. at InsiderPages

I liked El Parral for authentic mexican food. It's not the best I've ever eaten but that's probably because I'm a vegetarian and don't like green chili (with pork) and other meaty items. The veggie stuff is good though and I'd not hesitate to go back.

This place is always packed, but the service never suffers. I love me some sloppy Mexican food (like TexMex) and El Parral hits the spot. No, it's not gourmet, but it's delicious and cheesey and smothered in goodies!
- Pros: cheap yummy food, fast service
- Cons: crowded, but who cares!

It's ok. The staff is always friendly, the place is clean, but the food is just a little sub-standard for the area. There are much better choices. Amigos, Three Margaritas, Hacienda Colorado. I'd try some of those instead.

Having heard good things about El Parral we gave it a shot. I wouldn't go back. Not to this location anyway. Guacamole was brown, chips were a little stale. Not worth your trip.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Food, Service

This place rocks for hangover food on a budget. I've even converted my man to eat Mexican over this place. It's nothing super-special, and their food is traditional, placing emphasis on familiarity with the cuisine. It's not original, or jazzed up-long ass name meals, but nevertheless one of my picks. It's like a Mexican Denny's. The waiters/waitresses don't say much, but the service is FAST here. They must know you're hungry. There's a story behind the ownership of the place too.
