The best restaurant in the universe you haven't lived til you've tried it the tajine is outstanding
Best falafel in town, awesome ambiance, not excellent service, other food decent, overall just ok.

If you are willing to spend more than a typical casual dinner and really "savor" your time out (i.e. be very patient) Sahara can be a fun alternative. The atmosphere really was outstanding -- a very romantic place. And their falafel simply can't be beat -- it rocks. However, I felt under-served by the waitstaff, in the sense that it took a while to take our orders, and our food took a very long time. Despite catching the eye of our server to get an update, we felt pretty ignored. Do not go if you are already hungry or have a plan to be somewhere within a couple or few hours -- this is a place for leisurely dining....very leisurely, because it took quite a while to get our entrees out, and the bill process was longer than I've experienced anywhere else. I used to be a server, so I consider myself fairly understanding, but this seemed inexcusable. An apology, at least, would have been appreciated. The hummus was not the best, which is kind of important in a restaurant like this. Maybe I came on an off night, but it wasn't crazy busy, and yet I still felt unattended to. Sorry to be the Debbie Downer of reviewers, but...I give this place a shrug and a one thumb up. Fun place, ok food and service. But I do recommend the falafel!

I work nearby and have stopped by this fine establishment for lunch a few times. Every time it has been consistent, delicious & completely satisfying! My favorite thing to get is their variety plate with baba ganoush, hummus, falafel, gyro meat and a few other things. Usually too much to eat for lunch, but great to snack on later in the day! The service is always wonderful. The staff goes out of their way (without being annoying) to make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. I would highly recommend checking this place out! I am looking forward to going in for a nice dinner sometime in the future. Perhaps lunch again this week? We'll see!
- Pros: Wonderful food, relaxing atmosphere & consistent.
- Cons: Just a little pricey, but worth it!

If you're up for something a little different, give this restaurant in the DTC a try. The coucous, lamb shank, and hummus are all excellent. They also have an yummy vegetarian special (Saharan special) The service is always very helpful and friendly.

One of my favorites in Denver. Excellent service, good food, very peaceful atmosphere. Try their traditional Moroccan couscous. Their falafel is also very good. But their baklava... oh boy - out of this world. Always warm, sweet, and very "almond-y." Also, the hot mint tea is amazing. This is one you will be visiting again and again!
- Pros: Excellent food, service, and atmosphere
- Cons: A little pricey (expect $50-60 for two people)

My family loves this place. The hummus is just right--so tasty! But their baba ganoush is my favorite. I nearly always order the Sahara's Special, which is a nice (meat eater's) selection of Sahara fare. For vegetarians, there is the Vegetarian plate. My mom and sister adore their chicken shwarma. The food at Sahara is always very fresh and top-notch.
The service is excellent, prices are reasonable, the food is delicious and overall it's a great value for your money. Love it!
- Pros: high-quality food, ample parking, friendly staff
