I absolutely love this comfortable, family-owned restaurant. Once you walk in the door, you feel automatically part of the family! Not only do my husband and I choose Romano's for a romantic night out, but the kids love it too. I have taken advantage of the catering services that Romano's offers. It is affordable, convinient, and always a success! Excellent eggplant parmigana, I would recommend this place to anyone with tastebuds!
Pros: The food, the prices, the atmosphere

Great food, friendly staff. Family friendly. Kids love the pizza. Their crust is is just slightly buttery, with hearty and perfectly cooked toppings. 2-3 pieces of pizza will fill you up nicely.

Ramone's has great Italian food. Their Basil Chicken in a white wine garlic sauce is excellent. Their calzone's are huge and the pizza is great too. Avoid "rush hour" (i.e., Friday nights) and special holidays if you don't want to wait. Sitting is a tad bit tight but it has you that much closer to kitchen breathing in all those awesome smells!
Pros: Basil Chicken in white wine garlic sauce
Cons: Sitting is a bit tight and it gets busy on weekend evenings

I grew up on the east coast and moved to Colorado at the age of 27. Romano's is a horrible place to eat and the people leaving 5 star comments for a restaurant that doesn't even deserve 1 star no doubt grew up in Littleton and never left this town. Now I tried a new Italian restaurant in the area called Michael's Italian Bistro and all I can say is "Now that's Italian." I am not affiliated with them in the least but if you consider yourself a connoisseur of foods in any way, check them out on citysearch.
Pros: They had water.
Cons: It came in a dirty plastic cup.

I have been eating there since1974, and the only restaurants that made/make pizza as good as John Romano makes is the old Marigold and even Bonnie Brae Tavern comes in second. And it has been consistently great the whole time. It is the best American- Italian pizza I have had in the U.S.!

Romano's Italian Restaurant is a long time gem in the Littleton community. My family has dined at this charming restaurant for many years, and we have always had a delightful experience! The food is delicious - our favorites include the eggplant parmigiana and the wonderful variety of pizzas. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, the service is always excellent. This is the perfect place to take friends or family for a wonderful meal.

I hired Romano's to cater 2 lucheons for my child's school. The first one went off with out a hitch and was enjoyed by 2 tracks of teachers, the second was disasterous. 17 teachers were violently ill 36-48 hours after the luncheon. It was easy to narrow down the culprit because these teachers typically do not eat the same thing at the same time. The school was actually shut down early because there were not enough teachers to man the classrooms; an expensive cleaning team was brought in to disinfect the school as a precaution. The owners of Romano's not only denied any responsibilty (to the newspaper only) they never returned a phone call to the school or the PTA which sponsored the event. The PTA does fundraiser that parents contribute to to do these events and this one cost $600. The school district spent thousands in substitues and the cleaning crew. Having spent 15 years in food industry I understand that bad experiences happen - it is was happens next that shows the character of the establishment and it's owners. This is a restaurant in OUR neighborhood and we were not treated very neighborly. Thank you for your time in reading this.
