Best Shop Ever

I went into a local running store (not BRC) a few weeks ago looking for help with running shoes, bought the $95 shoes they recommended, and now my feet are killing me. I went back in and they told me that they put me in the wrong shoes.
Well, their return policy is that you can only return the shoes if you don't run outside in them. These felt fine when I ran inside several times, but after doing one long run outside (I only ran in the shoes outside 3 times and had them for 2 weeks), my feet were killing me. They told me that they would give me 40% off another pair of shoes (without crediting me for the first shoes), but I didn't think it was fair that they wanted me to pay to get more shoes when they admitted that they gave me the wrong shoes in the first place.
I was so angry that I decided I would rather pay full price for a new pair in another store than give the original store another cent of my money. I went to the Boulder Running Company in Littleton and told them what happened at the Runner's Roost. The salesman immediately got the owner help me. He had me try on 6 pairs of shoes, watched me run in the pairs that felt good, and then proceeded to take back the shoes that Runner's Roost sold me! I only had to pay a $28 difference. That's probably the coolest thing any store has ever done for me, and I will definitely buy everything I need for running there from now on. I will never shop at the other running store again.
- Pros: Knowledgable Staff, Great Return Policy, Great Selection
- Cons: I wish it were closer to my house.
Good service, but I question their knowledge/experience.

The salesman I worked with was nice and seemed knowledgeable, but my feet were hurting after two weeks in my new running shoes. My podiatrist told me that they sold me a "straight" shaped shoe, even though my feet are "curved". I took them back and they remedied the situation with the right shaped shoes.
