What a great find!

Apparently this restaurant has been around for 24 years...I wish I'd known earlier! My husband took me for my birthday and we had a wonderfully romantic evening. We had drinks in their nice, new lounge until ready to go to our table (that they kept waiting for us). Our romantic table was in a bay window in what I can imagine used to be the dining room of this charming old house. The acoustics were such that noise was kept to a minimum, much appreciated in the days of piped-in music and clanging dishes in the background... The waitstaff were very professional and attentive to our every need. The food was all delicious, especially the beef carpacio and the lobster...yum!
The way it works is you order your main dish and it comes with an app, a salad and a soup, all prix fixe according to your main dish. Hence, veggie and pasta dish meals are between $20-30, the beef tenderloin and lobster for $45... Since it was a special occasion, we went all out, with cocktails, wine, an extra appetizer, two desserts and coffees, so our total was $160. However, you could easily get away with 4 course meals plus dessert for $30-40 each. My huband (German) and I have travelled around the world and we now consider this one of our favorite restaurants in the Denver area. Enjoy!
- Pros: Location, Service, Food Quality, Ambience
- Cons: None
Cozy atmosphere, attentive staff and good food. Great place for a night out without the kids.

This restaurant is a great alternative to Lodo if you are looking for upscale atmosphere and menu. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the small dining rooms offer an intimate environment for folks who want to enjoy each other's company along with the meal.
- Pros: Ambience, Service, Quality
- Cons: Parking
Great food and customer service!

I have been to this restaurant about a half dozen times. The last time visited was in early November 2006. For those that like excellent services and fantastic northern Italian cuisine, this is a great restaurant to visit. The service is great from the moment you sit down. The wine list is quite extensive, and the menu selection is abundant. The ambiance is romantic for 2, but well suited for family gatherings (with older children). I would not recommend this restaurant for families bringing children under 13 or so. Plan to spend 1 to 2 hours for your complete dining experience. Also, plan on spending $50 to $70 per person if desserts and drinks are ordered in addition to your entree. Highly recommended!
- Pros: Great food, service & ambiance
- Cons: A little pricy, but worth it
Just a great experience

Wow!!! I was beginning to think that Denver really didnt have a restaurant that you just fully enjoy Dont get me wrong, Denver has a lot of good to great tasting restaurants, but my wife and I usually go out weekly. And for the most part, Denver has good to great food. Some much pricier that others but, for 4 years, I have not been able to find a place in which I could have great conversation, or a truly romantic evening with my wife. Meaning, I didnt have to speak louder than my neighbors just to be heard.
Now for the experience, when greeted, all the staff was great. They went as far as to ask, Are we here for any special occasion? Our reply was, yes, its Friday and its our night out without the kids. The staff treated us like gold, and from what I could tell, this was the standard to everyone. The food was excellent (soup and salad are included in the entree, very good wine selection and they offered us a complimentary desert to round the night out. The price overall I felt was very good as well, much less than I expected for the experience.
I have to say again, this was by far my best restaurant experience in Denver since we arrived in 2002. Try it, you will not be disappointed. If you are, share your recommendations.
30th Wedding Anniversary Celebration

We have been to this restaurant several times now. The service remains the same--impeccable and outstanding every time our family visits! This is absolutely the best of the best restaurants in all of the southern Metro Denver area. It is everything you could imagine in service, atmosphere, location, and food service. The meals are suberb! We tell everyone to visit this restaurant.
- Pros: excellent wait staff, timely seating, good web site
Wedding or Special Dinners; Always a reason to go
by programr
I was first spoiled with the treatment at a dinner at Gabriel's. Then, I decided to host both my wedding and reception there. People literally took back their cards from the gift table at the wedding to write in them "What a cool place to have a wedding! I'll be back for dinner again!" That pretty much says it all when your wedding guests are that impressed with a meal and service.
- Pros: Out of the city, Ambience, 4 course meals
Best of the Best Restaruants in the Denver Area
by crownguy1500
When I first heard about Gabriels, I went to the website and became excited by what I saw. I looked at the menu first and to my surprise it was more than I expected. A FOUR COURSE meal for an average of $30. That is almost unheard of in fine dining restaurants. The wine list was even more impressive. The wine prices were extremely affordable and the selection was one of the best for a Denver restaruant. I had to go. My dining experience was one to remember. The ambiance, service and food was the best I have experienced in a long time. Gabriels is my new choice for my weekend dinners.
- Pros: VALUE, FOOD/WINE, SERVICE
- Cons: CLOSED ON MONDAYS
Impecable!

This is a fine dining restaurant to which we return every year for special occasions and to just enjoy a lovely dining experience with friends. The wine selection is probably unsurpassed in depth and value anywhere and the four-course dinners are what we expect from the gracious, elegant, and romantic ambience of this historic Farmhouse. We are from Seattle where the portions can be more nouvelle cuisine; we usually leave Gabriel's feeling that for the money spent we achieved great value. We admire the extremely professional but basically friendly service (a sense that you are unobtrusively coddled). The Colorado lamb entrees are our personal favorites, but lately the restaurant seems to be adding more variety to the menu with a hearty nod toward vegetarian preferences. One of our party really enjoyed her veg pasta dish, and the staff indicated that they plan more in that direction with daily specials.
- Pros: food and wine, ambiance, service
Worth the drive
by william_staub
A trek for most Denverites, all the more reason to go!
None of the hype or pretention of downtown, and one of the best restaurants in the State for Northern Italian. Gracious service, resonable prices and fantastic food all make for a perfect evening!
- Pros: great food, stellar service, great pricing
- Cons: a bit of a drive
