Perfect

by Sazmataz

My husband and I honeymooned at this hotel and were blown away by the service. The hotel is nothing short of beautiful, and the staff treats you like royalty and like family at the same time. The concierge, Andrew, went out of his way to take care of us. He is truly a good person, and really knows how to make his guests feel welcome and happy. He is the feather in this fine hotel's cap.

The bathrooms are breathtaking, and the rooms are so comfortable. The view of downtown Denver is amazing.

If you want a romantic hotel this is absoutlely the place. You will not be dissapointed.

  • Pros: Staff, Luxurious, Location, Delicious Room Service, Very Romantic
  • Cons: You can't stay forever.

Gorgeous hotel, wonderful service

by loulerbell

I went there for a romantic night with my boyfriend and was so pleased. The room was absolutely beautiful...they had upgraded us to a corner suite and it couldn't have been more perfect. The service is fantastic and everyone treats you so well. Plus, the location is amazing. Definitely the best hotel in Denver.

  • Pros: Beautiful hotel, great service
  • Cons: none

Elegance in the City

by aspen1228

Hotel Teatro treats everyone like royalty. From the time you're professionally greeted by the friendly doormen to the time you say goodbye to the entire staff, (that somehow remember to call you by name).....Hotel Teatro is a pampered luxury that even a Denverite should experience at least once.

I enjoy it for its proximity to the Theater on one side and its convenience to Larimer on the other. (So nice to walk to the Market for Sunday coffee). All of my out of town guests stay here & love it.

  • Pros: Service & luxury.
  • Cons: Small, so it books up fast around special events & holidays.

Great romantic stay

by travelpairco

For our anniversary, we stayed in a junior suite with a romance package that included champagne and rose petal turndown. The room was great, pleanty of room, with two bathrooms. We were located next to the elevators and they were noisy during the day. We did have a slight issue with their service but they made it up to us by giving us a free upcoming night stay.

  • Pros: Great room
  • Cons: Service Lacking

Uncomfortable Luxury

by paulbuxel

I' wont call this place a rip off but the the "Superior Queen" size room is simply to small for a couple.

There is a coffee maker and a iron, but no practical place to plug it in. The light in the bathroom makes you look like a ghost, there is nowhere to do your make-up, says my wife. Simple unpractical things that drive you crazy. No wifi in the room -cost you $4,95 an hour to go online via ethernet cable. The room is just very small and not well designed. I guess if you just want to crash here after a night out it's ok but if you mix business with pleasure its not the right place.

The staff is very friendly but you always feel hustled for tips.

The bed is great for one person. The sheets and towels are top notch.

Room rate goes up by 30% with hidden charges (no free parking, wifi, ice in room, etc)

Too bad - could be a great place - for my money it's below average.

  • Pros: good sheets and towels
  • Cons: crammed, not practical

Boutique hotel features elegant rooms outfitted with down comforters, oversized tubs and Aveda products.

The Scene
This hotel resides in the 1911 Denver Tramway Building. It is right across the street from the Denver Performing Arts Center. Elaborately framed theater costumes hang in the high-ceilinged lobby. Two in-hotel restaurants cater to the power and theater crowds--the much-acclaimed Restaurant Kevin Taylor and the 1930s bistro Jou Jou.

The Details
The 110 rooms and suites have 12-foot ceilings and are decorated in soft shades of gold or sage. The sheets and towels are by Frette, and there are cascade rain showers in the marble bathrooms. Each room has a view--some of the Rocky Mountains, others of downtown Denver. All come with a laser printer, scanner, copier, fax and high-speed Internet access. Guests enjoy access to the fitness center, 24-hour room service and local car service for sight-seeing. The concierge is often able to get tickets to sold-out theater or sporting events.

A room with a view

by hoteladdict

Hotel Teatro is the best hotel I have stayed at in Denver! I have now tried all of the luxury hotels in Denver and Teatro is my favorite. I have stayed many times and just like any city hotel they do have some rooms that are smaller than others. I recomend asking for the Deluxe King room as they are large and have the luxury bathrooms. This hotel is remeniscent of a beautiful New York or Chicago hotel so if you are looking for basic and cheap, it is NOT the place to stay. Ask for a room on the top floor. They are a little smaller, but the view from the balcony is awesome!

very disappointing weekend stay

by mercuryjones

Very disappointing stay after the staff incorrectly entered our reservation into their system. The lower class room we wre given was very noisy, right between the elevators and opposite noisy airconditioners on building next door. Staff seemed to care little that the hotel had made an error. The room was extremely small and cramped; not at all up to advertised standard. All in all a bad stay, Hotel is NOT recommended.

  • Cons: staff, rooms
