The food is original. Would be a great place to take a date. Something is just missing from making this a 5-star rating.

We went to Vesta's for a well deserved Friday evening away from the kids. We got street parking right outfront (bring quarters) We had early reservations (5:45) and were a few minutes late. There was no problem being seated, and our table was great. The server was awesome, and knowledgeable about the entire menu. We had ceviche to start, because of all the great reviews. It was pretty good, but we went with the chile verde level, and I think that was a mistake. The best part about ceviche is the freshness, and mixing it with a sauce was interesting. I think next time we would go with the mango poblano, just to make it a little more authenic, or plain with a sauce on the side. While waiting for our entree, they brought us some samples of menu items, which was great. I ordered the pork tenderloin which was delish, there was alot of meat, and tons of rice and onions. (I didnt even eat it all there was so much) Presentatoin was great. It comes with mojito onions, and they did taste like a mojito! I went ahead and got the suggested paired sauces. My husband had the scallops. They were cooked to perfection and a large serving (4-5 large scallops). The sweet potatoes were do good that he ate them even though he doesnt like sweet potatoes. They accidentally brought us hot fudge instead of one of his sauces, but they quickly fixed it, and brought us a complimentary desert sampler to make up for the mistake!! All in all, great dining, I don't have any complaints, and that is odd for me!!

Pros: Knowledgeable staff, samples, ambience, service

Cons: nothing to complain about!!

I've been frequenting Vesta for 11 years and have never been disappointed. Whether hangin' at the bar or staying for dinner, the atmosphere is cool. Staff is always charming and the menu is fantastic

Pros: Food, staff, location

Cons: when I show up without reservation and can't get a table :(

This was one of the best places I have ever eaten! The atmosphere was dark and trendy. This is a great place for a first date, or any date really. You get to choose from 3 sauces to have with your dinner, and of course you can mix and match and try eachothers. The beef tenderloin was melt in your mouth delicious and our waitress recommended the venison which was even more amazing! We got dessert and I was so glad we did, it was one of the best ones I have ever had (we got the Mattys apples, the chocolate bar and the ice cream sandwiches). If you want to try something different and fantastic, check this place out!

Pros: Excellent desserts

Cons: No real parking

Vesta has somenthing different from any other restaurant. The food is diverse from other restaurant. The dipping sauces are a great idea. The service is above average and the atmosphere is vibrant. You will love it.

I have been to Vesta numerous times and the food is always fantastic. I'm a big fan of the samosas for appetizers. The corn dipping sauce that comes with is delicious! Highly recommended!

The food is good, but not $25+ per entree good. This is basically a typical Lodo restaurant where they have an upscale/trendy atmosphere so they can get away with over-charging. While the food is good, you can easily make anything on the munu better than they do if you know how to use a grill. I suppose it's a nice place to take groups who want to be entertained and feel like they are being trendy. But if you're looking for a great meal of grilled meat, just stay in and do it yourself.

Pros: good for people who like to be trendy, good food

Cons: overpriced, food good but not amazing

I am very picky about food. I won't say that I'm like Anton Ego from Ratatouille, but I will say that I don't bother to eat something that isn't worth the time to taste. Also, since we don't have a lot of money, being able to go out to eat is a luxury that we save up and plan for, and we better find the experience as a whole worth the expenditure. I want to be catered to, and treated well. On both of these counts, I have never had a dining experience better than I did at Vesta Dipping Grill last night for Restaurant Week. I had the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Salad, with the Grilled Hangar Steak, and Chocolate Cake. The chocolate cake had ancho chili in it which was surprising, spicy and oddly nice, the salad was rich, salty, and still "healthy" for certain definitions of healthy (my definition), and the steak was tenderloin quality, with spinach so good that I will have to redefine my view of vegetables. In addition to the quality of the food, I also liked the Chef's Taste at the beginning, sort of a little mini appetizer to tempt us into coming back to try all the things that weren't on the menu for the night. Finally, and I cannot say enough about this, the customer service was incredible. I had made reservations through OpenTable and, perhaps owing to my being an idiot on the computer, the reservations, for whatever reason did not go through, which I learned when I called to confirm. Not only did the manager come on the phone and correct the situation the night before, but personally took care of our table the following night, in addition to the regular wait staff who were also exemplary. Not only did we not have an empty glass or plate the whole time, but they took care of my 2 year old, making sure that her meal came out at the right time to prevent tantrums or toddler boredom, which any parent out with a child can appreciate. We will be returning to the Vesta often, and I would and will recommend this restaurant to everyone I know in or out of town.

Pros: FOOD, FOOD, FOOD, Customer Service incredible, ambience was really neat too

Cons: none

We read that this place was *SOOO* great, and supposed to be really romantic, so we decided to finally check it out. I don't know what I was expecting, but the food was decent, really nothing spectatcular. The website makes the restaurant look bigger and better than it actually is. The seating is a bit cramped, and it isn't as cozy as you think it might be from the photos you'll see online. Maybe it was way too hyped for me? If you really want an extra special evening, this isn't the place. Its fine for some good food maybe pre-baseball game, but nothing spectacular.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Small spaces to sit (except if you get a booth), way over hyped as trendy

We have been going to Vesta for years and it is always excellent. The roasted chicken is fantastic and all the sauces are so much fun! This is a great restaurant to bring out-of-towners or just have a nice evening out yourself!

Pros: Sauces, overall quality of the food, drink options

Cons: parking, can be long waits without reservations
