Good drinks, OK service. Good place to get a drink but the service was not the most steller

Great patio, inexpensive beers, friendly staff. I really like this place. They have a good selection of beers. They have a wonderful patio that's shaded. It's pretty easy to get a table if you show up at a reasonable hour...(before 6 p.m) I'll definitely be coming back to My Brother's Bar.  View Less View More

Really cool bar. To be honest the food and drinks were terrific but the service was nothing to write home about. I had a few friends visiting from out of town and it took us forever to get our drinks and food. I think they need to hire some more people.  View Less View More

worst service in Denver. I really like this place, the food is great and the history is interesting, but the service is horrific. I understand that's the attitude they're going for but it came off a little overthe top the last time I went in for a burgr and a beer. My wife and I were seated and getting seatled when the server came over to us and asked what we wanted to drink, my wife told her that she needed a miniute to look over the drink list and asked for a water, the server just rolled her eyes and walked away without even asking for my drink order. we gave her a couple minutes for her to come back with the water but she never did so we left. You'd think that a place that sells $7 burgers and $4 beers might want to try to be a little accomodiating. This is a bar and I don't expect five star service but a little politness wouldn't hurt.  View Less View More

Slow service? I hope so, why change something that works!!. Without a doubt Brother's has the BEST greasy cheeseburger around! Sounds horrible? Not at all. I was a theatre producer in Denver and producing is hungry work( high stress level) so I would get a Brother's burger before the performance and after the curtain went down, so to speak, cast, crew and fiends would plan to meet at Brother's.

A decade ago it was the place to head to after a performance because you could still get food AND most everyone else was also there or at The Wazee Lounge up the street. (Wazee was owned by the other Brother in "My Brother's Bar'. ) I live out of state now but when I am in Denver I always zip in for a Burger and a shot. There a lots of posters around so I can see what's up in Denver Theatre etc: The Brother's have ALWAYS supported Denver theatre with Ad placements and it is our pleasure to support Brother's by going in and drinking the beer!

About the service people- Brother's is not the place to go if you are in a big hurry. Sit back, relax- it is a Bar full of memories and making new ones everyday-ENJOY!!  View Less

Horrible Service. Besides it being uncomfortably dark, none of the waiting staff was slightly civil towards us. The waitress was rude and seemed annoyed to serve us. I thought the bartender might be more tolerable but he was just as annoyed and rude as the waitress. She only came by once to refill our drinks (after they were LONG gone). When we complained, they said if we didn't like it we could talk to the owner. I wouldn't go back if someone paid me.  View Less View More

Bar Vibe rocks. I'm new to the area and this is one of the places that locals seem to consistently rave about. While I don't get it from the food perspective...although I think I can get into the whole cream cheese on my burger thing that Denverites seem to like, and I like the presentation (as long as you aren't sharing a table with more than one person), but overall the burgers just weren't that great. Fries were a bit limp and the onion rings were crisp, but maybe lacking in the oil you expect from a greasy fried ring.

That being said, the bar may be a place my ass would like to permanently call home. Really diggin the throwback to the old school bartender complete with well old bartenders. Local drafts, and well to be honest, I like the fact that no matter how early, you will never feel guilty about having a beer.

The whole ambiance thing is pretty cool too. So will I go again, absolutely...I just won't go hoping to stumble across the best burger ever to find it's way into my mouth...

And I'm not gonna lie, I like places with no names on the door. Makes me feel like an "in the know" individual.  View Less

Going there since the early 70s.. My brother and I have been going to My Brothers Bar since the early 70s. We both enjoy the atmosphere but more the hamburgers. And yes I have been there when the service was slow. And yes I have had a dry hamburger (1 time) but over the years it has been a great place to come for a basic meal and good environment.  View Less View More

History and Hamburgers...my type of place. You need to know the exact address of this place, or you might just drive straight past it. It is an unassuming looking building with no signage leading you through their tinted doorways. But once you are inside, you immediately are surrounded by years of history, including the ancient owners who still work there. Yes, service can be a bit gruff and slow, but this isn't the type place you go for white table cloth service. It's simple, you go for the burgers and the beer. Now, I think Cherry Cricket actually has a better burger per se, but My Brother's Bar is a pretty close second. The cream, cheese jalapeno burger is damn near perfection. Lots of local brews on draft served by a throwback to bartenders from days past.

Bottom line, don't go if you are in a hurry, and don't expect to be greeted like royalty. But go if you are in the mood for a history lesson and great food.  View Less

Great Place!. I'm astounded at some of the most recent reviews. Makes me wonder if the reviewers were part of a group that caused problems and were treated accordingly. I've never sat on a sticky chair or had a sticky table, other than the messes I've made. The food has always been excellent and if you don't want a darkened pub experience, please go to a disco...not a "pub" for crying out loud.

I agree that the wait staff could be improved, but only once did I actually have to wait for an extended period of time. Then again, I go with the lunch crowd and the place gets pretty busy since so many people downtown frequent the place, so it was understandable.

The back patio on a nice summer day can't be beat. The service is also a little faster back there for some reason. This is one of our favorite spots and we often take out of town visitors there after visiting other nearby sites. We've never had anybody tell us they didn't enjoy it and believe me, our friends are not shy with their opinions.

Don't listen to the haters that obviously don't belong in a neighborhood pub. They'll find their way back to Denny's soon enough and the rest of us can enjoy some good food and great company.  View Less
