Definitely variety here

I have been to the Snake Pit on a variety of occasions. I have heard a lot of house music and techno. Snake Pit has been around for years and the locals there really appreciate good music when they here it. Some nights are 80's nights while others they have brought in a House Music DJ from Chicago like Bad Boy Bill. You will definitely find a lot of variety here. The space that it is in is smaller and interested. It is decorated with all kind of conversational pieces for sure. If you know your music and have a unique style to bring to the table you might really enjoy this place.

• Cons: Could use a better sound system

Fun spot for a tuesday night

This is a fun mixed atmosphere. Very different groups of people and those who are there to dance while some are there to play pool. Excellent 80s new wave music. Place is a little dark to meet anyone and somewhat dirty. Not a great place for a date but a good place to try something different with friends.

• Pros: Diverse crowd, good experience, good music
• Cons: Parking is street parking, dirty and bathrooms are dirty also

For those who want to get out of LoDo, here's a chance to go back to the neighborhood that gave birth to Denver's nightlife. Boasting great drink prices and some of the best music in town, the Snake Pit has has been a club scene staple since the doors opened in the mid-'90s. The crowd? Mods, punks, club kids, ravers, disenfranchised New Wavers and trip-hoppers line the floor on any given night.

A real indie club

Unlike the cattle clubs (with a thousand patrons that none of the staff give a damn about, or recognize, or treat as individuals) the Pit has great service, great music, individuals who know you, etc., all without having to charge the price of a steak dinner for a cover. It's like a neighborhood bar where the top DJs from around the world come to play.

• Cons: parking, can be crowded, plastic glasses

It's the BEST

Snake Pit has the best bartenders, the most creative decor that changes almost every week, they bring is the best local and international DJ's, and I always enjoy the music! They have a reasonable cover and there is always positive vibe from everyone! It is the best!

Great Dance Night

My friends and I went out looking for a fun dance night and we found it. Saturday night at "the Pit" was a great experience. I was a little intimidated at first I must admit. Maybe it's the name. My friends and I had a great time. Great music and amazing DJ!

Best Brit Pop

I can go on and on how much I love Wed. nights at the Pit. It's the one night I really look forward to. Great music, the DJ knows his Brit pop stuff, women, drink specials. What more do you want.
