Dear Fellow Foody, I am writing this to recognize and compliment the excellent food that I was fortunate enough to savor. I was recently in Denver visiting family and while perusing my yearning for a good home-cooked meal I chanced upon a little India….The Little India restaurant. Being a self-proclaimed connoisseur of Indian food I was very skeptical of the fare that would be offered, but I was in for a very pleasant surprise. They have a delightful cornucopia of drinks and cocktails to start with. Every dish is aptly represented in the menu, from the fiery vindaloos to the creamy kormas; the food is lip-smacking with the scrumptious aromas living up to their promise. I, therefore, wish to invite one and all to experience this culinary extravaganza into the exotic and authentic Indian cuisine.

My husband has been an Indian food lover for a while, but i wouldn't try it. I finally gave in and off we went to little India. Lets just say i'm a convert now ! We've been there several times and have never been disappointed by the food or service. Both are excellent .Every meal starts with a complimentary order of papadum and tamarind chutney. We go there regularly. We have always received a good welcome with excellent service. I particularly like the Chicken saag and Bharta Makhani.
Pros: friendly service,good food
Cons: parking

the food is excellent here. other than that, not too much to speak of. we have been here many times, but just came back after about 6 months. dissapointments: no free indian 'chips' with salsa before dinner- not sure what the name is, but apparently they have decided they are losing too much money on this this. felt like they wanted us in and out quickly. dinner + 3 beers and naan = over $50. way too pricey for entree size. maybe great for lunch but dinner was way too expensive without any frills. we were dissapointed.
Pros: tasty
Cons: pricey

Being new to Denver, I've been trying to find a great neighborhood Indian restaurant, and after reading all the great reviews I was very excited to try this place, but I was extremely disappointed with the food! I got take out, the chicken tikka masala tasted really strange and the naan was stale. I'm sorry but this place is just not good.

I have ordered takeout several times from Little India 6th Ave, and most every time the food has been wonderful. However, this time there was a mistake with the order and the way they handled it cost them my business in the future. I ordered a dish that had cashews (I am severely allergic) in it, despite the menu not showing there were cashews in the dish, and I specifically requested that there be no cashews in the dish (this had happened before and I let it go the first time). When we called to tell them the mistake, they refused to let us bring the dish back to exchange it or refund our money. This was a small mistake on their part which could have easily been resolved by offering us another dish of equal value. So goodbye Little India & hello Bombay Clay Oven! You lost a customer over a small mistake that would have cost you only $12.

This is a great little resturant, and I do mean little. Sometimes I would recommend making a reservation and arive a half hour befor so you can find a place to park. The food was great, I can't say enough about that, the waiter was prompt with our food and very helpfull but like I was saying befor this is a small place and when it gets crowded it is very loud. Tables seem a lil to close for comfort. We have decided that when we eat there again we wont eat there but get it to go and enjoy a peicefull evening at home.
Pros: Good food, affordible, Good service
Cons: Bad Parking, Crowded, Noisy

This is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Everything that I've tried on mulitple visits has been great. Dinner is usually busy and there can ba a bit of a wiat - especially for more than two people. Little India tends to be a little more pricey than some of the other Indian restaurants in the area, but they make up for that in service and the quality of the food. The parking situation at the 6th Ave. location needs improvement - Their 10 or so spaces are always full, and I end up parking in an area behind other businesses where there are "no parking" signs posted - so far my car hasn't been towed or ticketed though :)
Pros: Ambiance, Food, Service
Cons: Parking, Dinner Crowd, $
